C'mon precious metals. When gold breaks the $2000/oz, it will draw attention to the amount of gold buying that governments and banks around the world have been doing the past few years. All miners will benefit from the attention. I don't think it will be this week, gold is taking a well-deserved breather right now.

Meanwhile Bitcoin back over $28,000.

Very aggravating to find this share down 13%. Of course Bitcoin could fall from here, but it's very unlikely: all the signs are good, including yesterday's 0.25% rate rise. Pretty neurotic to be jumping off this share right now.

OK thanks Argobull, tomorrow at 6 pm for the interest rate news. I've a feeling it will be a low rise, which is in miners' favour. About time the tide turned.

Right now it's wait and see what happens to interest rates this afternoon.
If the US Fed raises by 0.25% or less, miners will be heading up.

The things is bob, you have to do a lot of jumping from share to share to learn that it doesn't work. And you have to do it yourself, it's no good being told it doesn't work.
I've done it, so I can sit on UFO for as long as necessary.

If the US Fed doesn't raise the interest rate this afternoon, gold should go up.

Another US Fed meeting today. If they don't raise interest rates, gold will push upwards and maybe pull the other PMs with it.

Sorry all – last month's US rate rise was 0.25% not 0.50%.
So a 0.25% this month would mean rises are flat, not increasing as scaremongers have suggested, and NO rise this month would be a drop and would be greatly in miners' favour.

Good to hear an upbeat view of platinum. Things are moving in favour of mining companies, it's just soooo s l o w.
I think a 0.25% US rate rise this month would shift things towards PMs and miners (the last rise was 0.50%) and NO rise would really get things moving UFO's way.
