The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with London Stock Exchange Group's Chris Mayo has just been released. Listen here.
Hi - excellent response, well done - was just checking you out - past with flying colours - To be fair to Tesco, I did glance at their tablets whilst purchasing a six-pack of long black socks - but, as you say, the checkout girl seemed a trifle confused when I questioned her about how long the battery charge would last for !!! - now heavily loaded with this stock - am prepared to wait for the 50p plus range to emerge - can understand peeps frustration on the sleepy SP though ! Cheers - The Kid -
Hi - Good to hear from you again - yes, my frustration at being rewarded with zilch RM shares has been nicely tapered by the fact that I was very close to piling into KMR at 29p, by using the same monies, just before the dreaded rights issue news flooded out - now 22p - close shave - I must agree though that once this is absorbed it should then be very juicy - keep well and stay afloat ! - How serious a threat do you feel Argos and Tesco now are to Dxns future potential ? - Cheers - The Kid -
Thanks for that - DRAX...aren't you talking to me now - I knew I should have sold that milk-float to you - you're very upset aren't you ! - yes, I must agree that this SP is frustratingly sleepy at the mo - still, the good news of late can only serve as a strong foundation for the near future - Cheers - The Kid -
Hi All - well, I am now back in pretty big - this is probably my favourite share at the time of talking - If Royal Mail don't want my good money then let's give it back to good olde Dxns - Still angry over the massive snub given to investors in the 10k to 25k bracket - should have been allocated at least something - Fair enough knocking out the greedy fat-cats but 10k is not really a sign of being a fat-cat - so much for the claim of a chance for all to own a part of the Royal Mail - Dxns is looking stronger than 3 months ago - just when this is reflected in the SP is a wee bit unpredictable as we are now seeing - but yesterdays news is yet another mill stone removed from the SP being held down ! - Cheers - The Kid - ps...I have to assume news got out that I was back in - went up .15p after buying back in !!
Hi - I found that the main problems were caused by failing to withdraw after agreeing to do so - I am really fuming at the news that I and hundreds and thousands of other decent people with a bit of cash to spare are now being penalised by receiving precisely NIL amount of shares in the Royal Mail sell off - yes, I was expecting a scaling down at around 10k to 30K, but to receive zilch at the 10K mark is quite clearly unfair - agree that fat cats going in for 100,000k plus should be excluded, but certainly not just 10k - very unfair in my book - Talk to you again - Cheers - The Kid -
Hi - well, I am still alive and kicking - am out of this one just for a short while - still rate very highly for the near future - but it was impossible not to be tempted to throw every penny available at dear olde Royal Mail - one of the most certain quick buck situations in history - even it it does a Facebook - which it won't - you just know it will rebound very smartly once all the novice plonkers are out of the system - has anyone else taken the plunge ? - it will either soar in the first few hours, in which case I am out - or, it will soar then quickly reverse massive gains as all the get rich quick merchants pile out almost immediately - can't really blame them mind ! - If the Facebook scenario kicks in then it's just a case of waiting - you know this one will only rise from the likely 330p SP announced on Friday , given a little time - Good Luck to all those riding on this one - Interesting plunge in Dxns SP in recent days - Retail Consortium announced that high street sales were disappointing in recent weeks - have to assume this is largely to blame for yesterdays big fall - plus, it would help if the wee folk across the pond would get themselves together for the sake of a better world - Can you believe they owe 16 trillion - does anyone actually know what a Trillion is nowadays - how about 1000 Billion ? - How can they just carry on adding to such colossial debt in order to carry on - Dosen't this debt mean they are actually the poorest Country in the world rather than the most powerful !! - Oh Well - must go and feed the fish - Bertie - the massive one - will be livid if I don't appear with the grub very soon and he's not to be messed with - Cheers - The Kid -
Hi - Hmm - very tempting at this lower end of the SP range - will soon be back in - still like TW though just at the mo - The Tesco factor is an interesting possiblity - no fears just yet though - this Christmas season is all Dixons for my money - Cheers - The Kid -
Hi - please do not worry - I am poised to drop back into this one - will surge as and when my intentions become clear to the markets - still in with TW - but that is proving to be a stubborn little buggar as well - still, no pain no gain - Cheers - The Kid -
Hi - Back off .50p so far today - yep, this is what I fancied with this stock at the mo - am still happy sitting back at the moment and waiting either for a sustained rise or yet another dip to around the 46.50 mark - let's wait and see - must be driven upwards soonish - remember that great marketing event called Christmas - Dixons at the ready - Cheers - The Kid -
Hi - well, the old phrase - only time will tell - comes to mind - I am in anycase a keen fan of buying on the back of a steady but sure rise, so if this now continues north I would be more likely to pop back in again - but will now stand back for a little while and see how this one developes from here on - Cheers - The Kid -
Hi - I certainly did - by boring I simply mean it had started to dribble either side of the 47p mark and I was tempted to pop back in to another one of my favourites for a slightly more exciting ride just at the mo - however, things do indeed seem to be on the northward move once again, so I am likely to pop back in soonish - GLA - Cheers to all my olde friends on this BB - The Kid -
Hi - would have to broadly agree - I am now temporarily out of this stock - has become a wee bit boring just at the mo - will, of course, be plunging back in once the excitement starts to roll again - run up to Christmas has just got to be the big thing that will see this begin to move northwards once again - GLA - The Kid -
I couldn't possibly comment ...................that said, it is a bit frustrating this little peach of a recovery play getting stuck at around the 46/47p mark, but at the end of the day it must be remembered that this has soared in the past 12 months - Patience will be well rewarded - Cheers - The Kid -
Hi - yes, it now needs something to put it back on to the radar of the big boys - That thing could well be the run-up to Christmas - Patience should be well rewarded - Cheers - The Kid -
Hi - actually, that should be quiet - but I have to agree - have often said the same - should be buzzing for such a hot stock - Cheers - The Kid -
Hi Drax - does this ball of yours show up where my beloved milk-float is now residing - The Kid - morning all -
Hi - keep watching this one - loads of buses in the Cheshire area now seem to be made by Optare - something good must surely come out of this pathetic SP - Hope so for all you doods stuck on the wrong end of this dire run on the SP -- will be interested in popping in as and when a SP surge begins and is maintained - GLA - The Kid -
Hi - hmm, interesting dip then rise through today - Cheers - The Kid -
morning all - ok, so this being stuck in the high 40s is a bit frustrating but let's not get greedy - as I said before, this is up 350% from 12 months ago - yes the news is very good, but that is why the price is now 47p and not 13p - no stock just keeps on soaring - it already has and will continue to rise from here on, albeit with a few bumps on the way, but it's no good just ignoring just how much this gem has already motored - I wish it were that simple - I'm buried in this one at the moment so let's just keep the faith - this is going places but as our leader DRAX says - patience is the virtue of success !! - - The wise olde trout -
Hi - to be honest I have to say that I was a wee bit disappointed at the final SP at the close in view of what was a strong day on the overall markets - what say you ? - Cheers - The Kid -
