...... this is one of the issues when reading posts it's easy to mislead or be misled .. . the way you've written that is that it's just a matter of time before the banks are paid off in one swoop but don't mention anything about that it is a wish & he 'hopes' we're getting there .... then also nothing on the 'how' that might happen with whom & how much of the project we might need to surrender for someone else to 'pay off' the banks ..... Don't get me wrong it may well happen but there is a chance it won't he also said he 'hoped' to get it done this year earlier in the quarter which he hasn't & if we do get it done the structure & bones behind any settlement may yet dictate how much it does for us .... this from the interims again just points to hopes & desire not a foregone conclusion or done deal:
-----------------------------
As previously disclosed, given these unprecedented macroeconomic conditions in 2022, DEV could not meet the 2022 payment schedule per the settlement deed. Although the bank creditors have reserved their rights, the settlement deed remains in full effect. All parties are in discussions to agree on a new timetable to rephase payments OR to reach a one-time payment to settle all outstanding amounts.
-------------------------------
Oh if it wasn't for that little 2 letter word 'OR'
"Beware Chinese showing an interest. My holding in Bacanora was taken for a song. A Chinese song.? Later events however in Mexico soured the deal for them. Remains to be seen what Cadence can salvage from their remaining interests in the project ?"
...we have no remaining interests in the project as the licences are cancelled what level (if any) compensation & more importantly when remains to be seen .... It'll be years & costly though IMO as I can't see the MX Govt agreeing to arbitration in any event which just leaves a drawn out legal process.
"DL by any chance @Barksy lol" ..... fortunately I think most have got wise to him now but I still find the hackles rising whenever he's mentioned ... steer clear of anything that (IMO) snake oil selling shyster with NPD gets involved with.... nothing but a trail of failures & people nursing headaches in his wake as far as I can tell .... wouldn't trust anything he says whilst he's still breathing.
...completely agree @ Dallas ... we shouldn't be considering selling the whole asset at anything less than a DFS based value & why would anyone buy us out for that when they might as well wait for (or fund) the DFS in any event .... the bank payoff needs to be addressed but I personally see that as more of a sideshow now ...
..well if we do get some positive news tomorrow I might have to raise an eyebrow on this trade over the ask!!! .....

....certainly don't recall any mention of 'completion in 2024' when I read it earlier!!
"Long process awaits
According to the company's CEO Ed Bowie, they are now working on an environmental impact statement and a feasibility study.
The company expects to complete these during the third quarter of 2024."
.... indeed SJ or the fear of a raise perhaps as well .. who knows the appointment of a new 'joint' broker doesn't guarantee one although it could potentially be lining up something for the coming weeks/months .ahead .... that interview snippet & article doesn't tell us anything we didn't already know.
We're almost into 2024 & a DFS (which hasn't formally kicked off yet & is unlikely to until the court judgement is announced positively) typically takes 12 months to complete after a DFS partner is engaged so, even with someone lined up to do it, it's very unlikely the DFS would be completed until early 2025 regardless ... so this reporting nor the clip of Ed included tells us anything we weren't really already aware of & there's nothing of new news in it for me at least ... hopefully the court news (& an SP rise) will arrive prior to any raise if that's the plan with the joint broker.
Selling now is knee jerk IMO but hey ho that's AIM for ya it's full of investors winning & losing on Knee jerks.
Happy new year all π
... not me SAL .... I'm waiting for it to drop further as I prefer topping up in the 4's just waiting to see if there's another opportunity in 2023 ... with a little help in another KM falling company (EMH) it should be possible shouldn't it? Hope you're not having to suffer losses & more moaning investors there as well!! π
Cripes this is all far too sophisticated for me .... One of my favourites is:
Mary had a little lamb
Which had a sooty foot
And into Mary's bread & jam
It's sooty foot it put.
Merry Christmas folks π§βπ
LoL ... tut tut EV ... Didn't take you for the petulant type ....as well !!π.... but if I wanted guarantee's I wouldn't be playing in the AIM markets that's for sure ....what wouldn't go amiss at some point is something we invest in that that actually delivers a return, meets a deadline whether that is a documented or an inferred one rather than failing entirely or being so late or delayed it becomes detrimental... aside from possibly EMH & maybe EG1 (yet to be tested) the last 10 years have been a stumbling & bumbling from one failed venture or investment to the next whilst incurring significant debt and dilution ... Look at all the debris, carnage & mess of investment choice, direction & partners in the rear view mirror ....it ain't pretty .... Maybe Amapa will finally be the saving grace for us because if not I reckon it might be time to book the fat lady for a sing song soon... Kiran & co have syphoned their salaries (& more) & milked PI's here for long enough in my view either they make it or break it this year would be my preference & whatever that results in so be it ... Out with profit or a total loss but just an end to the continual decline & failure.
@EV any arbitration for Sonora would optimistically be 5+ years away if at all so of little relevance to us for 4/5 years at best & I won't be here for it.
JV/buy out of Amapa is the 'hoped for' outcome of ongoing (so we're told!!) discussions so whilst I personally hope either comes to fruition there is no guarantee & without either we will struggle to get the DFS started without further debt &/or dilution.
As for EMH our ever decreasing holding will mean there's an ever decreasing impact on our SP irrespective of the way of travel .... can't see the DFS doing too much for them immediately (maybe up to between 40&50p tops IMO .... Once it's published anyway as all thoughts will immediately turn to the funding & options for their share of the capex/opex ...
JMO of course for what it's worth ... merry crimble all & if I've offended, upset or depressed anyone this year never mind .... I'll probably do it all again next year if nothing happens to prompt my exit π
.... although considering we had a 29th Dec RNS on Amapa last year maybe that's why there isn't a bigger drop currently on the back of the fall in EMH - although we don't hold that much anymore in any event ...
.....without some better news for us somewhere else in the morning there'll likely be yet another opportunity to top up on the cheap here too as the EMH slide overflows into our own SP .... although to be honest those somewhere &/or something else's we have are getting fewer & fewer as well as smaller & smaller ...... AMAPA or bust in my opinion.
....well what a surprise that was .....NOT!!....
