Hi Ricki1991, glad you are having a good experience with VAL, but I got into VAL when I was new to investing and I got burnt.
AIM is very treacherous even to experienced traders.
Admittidly the company is very differnt now, but AIM is not.
Good luck with it, but be careful not to let yourself get carried away with somebody else's enthusiasm. Golden rules, don't panic buy or sell and don't buy because of FOMO

I would say the most likely day for the 201 update is Wednesday, then today, Monday and least likely Tuesday
If we don't see one in a few mins I would guess any RNS will relate to TR1 shareholdings or price monitoring. Gla it's very exciting at the moment.

Why aren't there any trade details after 15:30? I don't think for a second that there were no trades after that time. Any ideas?

I sold out of lloyds in 2012 when it was struggling to get above 30p. Within days of jumping ship to Val Lloy started moving up and in the last 8 years I could have brought and leveraged profits multiple times and earned dividends too.
The ponit is, so what? I made a choice, I live with it. No ponit wondering what I could have achieved if I did something differnt.

Mazik, you were quite right to discribe them as a shameful duo.
Not a lot has happened between the begining of the year and now that G and S couldn't have been capable of delivering. They totally ran VAL into the ground. Thank god they are gone.

There are a lot of £5 figure buys and sells today. Some bigger boys derisking, but other bigger boys willing to take on the risk. Should finish at a 46p minimum today, nicer if could be a 50p finish though!

Off to good start, plain sailing today for sure.
As usual just a bit of causal advice not to get too swept up in the sentiment, but I would say it's almost a cert that the 50p target will be reached today.

To get to 50p we would need a 30% increase.
That's a serious increase, but less than yesterday's and the buying pressure was sustained throughout the day, so 50p is a very genuine prospect today. Gla

Lol be careful quoting buffet. Be gready when others are fearful and be fearful when others are greedy. Could easily be right either way things are at the moment. My favorite buffet quote is "don't lose money" !
One thing to be certain of is don't panic buy or sell.
The 2nd thing is own the decision.
If I do end up selling at a loss I will put it into boohoo or maybe a divided payer and recoup the remainder of any loss that way. Not exciting or fast for sure but after 8 years of VAL I am looking for safe lol

Yup that's the plan. I think tomorrow will be a good rise, but if the sentiment turns at the end of the day I might sell out. Thursday, Friday onwards to results day will the days I pay close attention for sentiment change.
If this gets to 50p I will be 25 % down, 70p and I break even. This is a pivotal ponit for me, just being careful not to throw away gains by being greedy.

I think that's what the problem is, that untill the 201 results actually materialise this could be a bubble set to burst.
Based on today's performance there is definaly reason to think this still has legs, but I am thinking that there won't be much rise when the results are published (already priced in because people are willing to pay these prices)
When the 201 results materialise I wonder if the best we can hope for is stabilising of the SP untill something else meaningful comes along. I am thinking 401 update.
I think the reason we have seen a large volume of sells as well as buys is that the sellers are derisking crystallising profits whist not pinning hopes on 201 results.

The candlestick for today doesn't have any wicks so the buying pressure is strong and the volume is good.
I reckon there is every reason to think there we be further significant increase tomorrow , pretty good chance at 50p I would say
What happens Thursday I am less sure.
I still think my ponit from the begining of the day is still valid, i.e. That the SP only reflects what we are willing to pay.
Also the higher it goes now, the more presumed good news is priced in.
No doubt I missed out on the chance to top up this morning, but I am still benefiting from the rise in my current holding
However with as many sellers as buyers this could quickly to turn into a momentum trap.
Best bet, enjoy the ride up tomorrow and reevaluate position again at the end of the day.

I don't think 40p is on the cards today, but it's been a serious rise today and a return to a higher level of volume. Very good chance 40p is on the cards tomorrow.

Watching2, the target price is 6p! Just hasn't been updated for years. If you look at the VAL share forecast charts on the ft website they still use 6p, laughable.
