AnneOwl. I was just thinking the same about safe haven stocks. There is absolutely no chance of a u-turn on climate change now. Government across the world have made commitments and investment organisations are looking for ESG investment strategies. I know I have been for some time. This sector is exactly right for my money.

Bombay. Wood are not looking to buy into EQT they are looking to collaborate. Both companies can take leverage from the other. Wood can benefit from creating opportunities in the EfW gasification through their vast network of clients and EQT can benefit from Wood opening up a market for EQT in which to utilise their equipment. Wood is an EPC. They have the relevant skills to assist with Engineering, Procurement and Construction. Potentially also financing. EQT have the proprietary equipment and know how.

Win win for both. No need for Wood to buy in

Its just as likely to set up a SPAC (Special Project Acquisition Company) in another country than invest directly in AFC. This would be a very significant move and could be set up specifically as a JV between the two parties to deal with deployment of EV charge systems.

No dilution for shareholders. Everyone is a winner. Not that a direct investment would be a problem from the likes of ABB. I just think there are alternatives

Precisely. The batteries would still need to be kept charged and if there was not an oversupply of charged batteries then they would need to pull demand from the grid at 160kw plus dependent on how quickly they need the battery charged.

Better than nothing but unless over supply of batteries then grid would need upgrading.

Considering the FTSE is getting smacked the sector feels like a haven these days for investors to move money. I did exactly this in May and have waited for the market to follow. Its about time too.

That would be nice. In combination with my other sector holdings also performing it could be an early retirement. If that happened I would use my time to do some good somehow. Get some satisfaction from giving something back.

And still rising. I appreciate many feel ITM is over valued. I have done in the past but its great fro the sector to have these winners and its all about the future, the tech and how we as a world are moving towards ESG investments and sustainability. ITM offer this as do PHE. PHE perhaps much better value at current levels.

Probably 69 is a favourite number and achieving a 69 this side of new year would be a result in anyones books if you know what I mean ;-)

Reading this article highlights the chicken and egg situation between developing EV uptake with developing the EV charging network. My view is that the network does need government support. Not just in the UK but across the world. However upgrading the grid or distribution network is costly, time consuming and unnecessary. Where do you start ? With the AFC/ABB system any deficiency can be highlighted and targeted for upgrade but with the AFC/ABB system being used to balance demand. No costly grid upgrades, rapid turnaround and meeting the customers flexible needs. The more I think about this partnership the more I can see the benefits for both parties as well as the EV and charging market. Very exciting time and although ABB are possibly one of the biggest players in the sector they are certainly going to do themselves no harm by extending the offering to their existing and future customers.
