Yes. Look at the MACD. It presents a technical sell signal. That has stopped me adding this week.

I do. Just makes the yield higher for those that do. Reinvest the divi and compound growth is what I'm looking for. Lower SP is more shares from the divi with very little hassle of jumping around.

US markets open and destroy any gains as per usual. They seem to work in reverse over there. PoG has been bummed as have one of my value FTSE 100 mining stocks due to go ex divi on 5th May but not yet achieved anywhere near fair value.

They are buying tech as well as their own stock. They must diversify whilst reducing risk. BP are taking a balanced approach to divestment, investment, renewables and oil and gas whilst reducing debt, shares in issue and dilution whilst paying a consistent dividend that will rise in time. At least we know its well covered and what we expect to receive.

I expect that DLG are using the services of a trading organisation with an algorithm to purchase the shares at the best price meaning they cancel more shares for the same capital expenditure. Once the buy back programme is over I personally expect that the SP should start to climb to a more reasonable level.

At current SP dividend is a healthy 7.64% so I have added a few more this morning. RSI is approaching 30 or oversold. However this can still drop further. I am using dividend payments from elsewhere to buy DLG as it appears good value to me. The further it drops the better value it presents. I am also down on my average by around 5% but not overly concerned at the minute.

Clearly the BoD see little downside from here and happy to buy at this level. Crazy price. Very likely to be adding myself at some point in the next few days.

I have seen this before where a business listed outside of the UK but listed on the LSE (AIM mainly) has to move to another exchange. Both EQT and CGNR are domiciled in Ireland and had to move to crest and now settlement is in Amsterdam I believe. Nothing has change for shareholders.

Yes. However much I support EQT and hold tightly to my shares I don't want to see this go off the boil. Needs to see the revenue stream realised now. Plenty of news in the bank. Just get on and start delivering. 5p is my next target with a little momentum.

Yes. You would think so. Seems very low at PE of 9 and at current price dead on 6% dividend based on last year's payout.

An increase divi is a short term view. Look 2 years down the road with BP not 2 days.

That is not the fault of the BoD. COVID has impacted your capital and the PoO. Unforseen circumstances but with a diverse energy portfolio will come resilience. Its a long game.

At 5% the dividend is not bad. The buy backs will add value in the long term and the strategy is for a diverse energy mix rather than an oil focus. Looney has started the transition of BP into an energy company whilst reducing debt amidst a global pandemic. Its not all about the immediate and what he puts back in your pocket now. He has been clear in the divi policy. What we shall see is a much cleaner company moving forward and a gradual improvement in SP. If its dividends you want go invest in BATS or IMB at 8%+. Then see what SP growth you get.

Dividends will eventually start to rise but its important for BP to start this transition. I am genuinely excited and will be adding to BP as I am now starting to feel a little happier that the strategy is working as well as the fact that the new investment is meeting the renewable energy requirements

Foxbat. Thats is correct. BP are buying ready made projects as well as investment in new. Some of which are forward looking such as the blue hydrogen production in Teeside. This is not new tech but will meet the volume demand of H2 in the area. The transition to H2 will accelerate from here and within a few years the UK will have live H2 networks with the option to grow these networks or build further networks in other locations.

By investing in wind power BP will also have the option to utilise all power generated by the production of green hydrogen. This may well already be on their radar.

Yes. Its called diversification. Sticking with oil and gas but divestment of some assets to make room for renewable technology.

Blue Hydrogen, wind and potentially other renewables. Without this BP lose any ESG credentials. Oil majors are transforming their business into energy companies not solely dependent on oil. Total is another with a strategy to meet this transition.

Let's not forget that BP is no longer just an oil producer. It is an energy business. Yes the price of oil will affect earnings but income and revenue will grow in other areas.

Yes. Today's news did not provide the instant hit that some where perhaps expecting but it has made me think that BP is mapping out a clear path to an energy transition, significant reorganisation of the business and divestment. Looking at those results it has been a significant improvement since Looney has taken the reigns and what he has achieved in such a difficult year.

Person feel this is a very good time to accumulate and sit and wait. Divi will not be going up any time soon but I feel confident that once thr buy backs are over and the SP is higher the divi will have to go back up to achieve the desired yield of 5-6%. Those buying now may also be sitting on a significant growth in capital.
