If it gaps up on good news to 1.2p it would be serious trouble for shorts and some may find themselves automatically closed out due to insufficient margins.

Its also worth noting that with the European target for electrolysers or production of 'Green Hydrogen' we have to actually think about how we are going to use it. On its own its just a store of energy and actually pretty irrelevant unless its put to good use.

Burning hydrogen for power generation is pointless as there is nothing like the efficiency in the process. That's where the AFC fuel cell systems will now be targeted. But with the benefit that AFC do not need 5 nines hydrogen so can more readily take hydrogen derived from other sources (blue, brown and grey).

This system WILL be the market leader based on cost (per kw) of the system and fuel and efficiency. And it will be partnered with some major initiatives to demonstrate its capabilities. There are not many commercially viable hydrogen projects as yet but the tech is there and maybe we will all have to pay a little more to be green. It is coming and AFC are very well positioned.

So why get so excited about revenue and profitability. Let AFC build a pipeline as per ITM and CWR, as they are demonstrating with Extreme E, Acciona and yesterdays contract and investors will see that the fuel cell system is being widely accepted as the low cost hydrogen power generation option with zero harmful emissions.

The MCap should reflect these latest awards, there is now far too much disparity. It doesn't make any difference how much revenue you can generate if you cant make a profit. AFC have spent time ensuring that there system is low cost, making it commercially viable for customers but ensuring that the price will be attractive enough to generate a profit.

There will be other revenue streams such as design and possibly ownership of power generation, not just fuel cell manufacturer and sales. We are at the start of the campaign and this will grow exponentially.

MPO818. It really isn't about the contract value or profitability. AFC will be paid an agreed sum for the system and this will be a show case or blue print for so much more.

We should not be worried about profitability at this point. Its the same for ITM. Looking at the interim report you can see they have not made a profit on sales. Revenue was £2.4m, Operating loss was £9.8m. What does that tell you ? It tells me that they are selling their electrolysers for less than it costs to make them. Does it not ?

Was very tempted to add a few today. 1.39p target is a starter for me. I am looking for the 2.18p target within 12 months latest.

With the volume of projects in the pipeline there is no reason apart from the obvious that EQT valuation isn't already halfway there to the higher target.

There are several companies I am invested in that choose for one reason or another to not disclose financial information about every contract. All are green tech sector. So I dont think it is that which is holding this back. More likely the lack of momentum.

One things is for sure, that has to change as we are now looking at a alkaline fuel cell technology which is being widely accepted for what it is. A low cost option which beats the competition in price and reliability.

AFC are not a producer of green hydrogen. Hydrogen being the sexy term now for energy storage. AFC are the creators of energy and utikise that energy store. That is just as important or more so.

The SP is up 10% on a day that looking at the FTSE I can see several companies that have had shockers. So let's look on the bright side. It seems that after months of planning and negotiations AFC are converting conversations to deals. We cannot value AFC on its revenue and profits as we can't do this for ITM and CWR as non have generated a maiden profit. What we do now have are 3 contracts, orders or sales for 3 systems in 3 different target markets.

Why is the SP and MCap not higher ? I don't know. But it should be and it will be. Gut feel is there is plenty more coming before the end of the year and we could be multiples of 20p by then.

I am sure we are looking at September for Envirionmental and October for planning consent and early 2021 for financial close.

13th Monkey, you can't get CE marking on a design only. It will cover design and manufacture. It could however be awarded on the basis that AFC energy have designed and manufactured the 20kw containerised system which should gain them approval.

Systems are bespoke. This latest contract is for 100kw. It would not be expected to have a Nobo come in and provide CE approval for each unit. They will make an assessment of the base design and manufacture and provide certification for AFC to design and manufacture 'A containerised hydrogen fuel cell system' in multiples of 10kw's

An order in Europe as well. Where CE marking will be fairly important.

What makes them understand any better than anyone else. They all have a trading mantra. Us PI's have advantages over them in that respect that we can hold on to our winners.

The lead time is probably more to do with developing the infrastructure than AFC taking 12 months. They only received the Extreme E order in July, yet they will be delivering this in January.

Foxyjoe. I have a gut feel that you will be seeing 1.4p before the year is out. Fair value is higher than and 1.4p would still only be £100m MCap which would still not be on par with the sector average and does not consider future potential to any great level.

Project pipeline is huge and is not reflected in the MCap. Approximately 1/3 of PHE yet EQT have solid revenue and much closer to profitably

Rooky, yes. Any customers they have been in discussions with are now starting to filter through as contracts. EV chargers are potentially the largest we should expect to see and will probably take significantly more negotiation and planning to ensure the correct system is designed prior to order.

This really is all just further positive confirmation that there is a market for offgrid' stationary power and microgrids may just be the way forward for our changing environment. AFC will fit in just perfectly.

Perhaps, as time goes by the gas network and electric grid will not be under such burden and new microgrids privately owned will be popping up everywhere.
