chippyjo, I agree. We do not necessarily want to dilute further regardless of the positive effects of investment. We should be able to finance the build of the fuel cells through payment mechanisms such as a percentage on signing of contract, percentage in procurement of materials. Any profit generated should cover the costs of business overheads with a balance left over for the shareholder dividends.

Nuts. Its risen nearly 1 AFC market cap in 45 minutes this morning. Just crazy. Not knocking it just don't get why people are not jumping all over AFC. Even the ITM posters that have shares in other green tech companies never really mention AFC. Just don't get what the market is seeing or not seeing as the case may be. ??????

I don't think they are. More complex to design initially and prove. They have no moving parts. Piping, electrodes, electronics. Not any more difficult to fix just needs a different type of mechanic

I would suggest that the 20kw system is OK where a small system in a 10ft container is suitable. The 160kw system is built in a 40ft container which is obviously more energy dense for its size and therefore I would expect to be cheaper to produce and buy per kw. However, the 20kw system would still have its applications and not necessarily in combination with EV charging. The EV charger is a bolt on to the 20kw and 160kw systems not 'The System'

Both are commercial products and as we have seen the 160kw system has been selected by Acciona for diesel generation replacement. I expect that businesses that require EV chargers for multiple electric vehicle comoany car users will be looking to install the 160kw system to avoid have to take power from the grid or costly connections to handle the additional load of charging.

Maybe the 20kw system could be used to power telecoms masts of grid where the 160kw system is too large. This was what Alkomonia demonstrated in combination with cracked ammonia?

There are so many applications for the system it is mind blowing. Fact is AFC have 2 commercially available products. The 20kw and the 160kw system. In addition with have Alkamem then to follow we have the 400kw liquid system and the large solid system in 2022.

Mucksy, you may know this but HyDeploy and HyNet are two different projects.

Hydeploy, as you have said is a small scale demo on a private network with involvement from Cadent Gas, NGN, ITM power. The next phase will be to trial in an NGN network

HyNet is a much larger project currently in design with an approximate 120km pipeline construction to transport 100% H2 across the network. This also includes Carbon Capture and underground storage (CCUS) in the Irish sea.

Perfect Peter. That's right. All the gas networks are working on the piping of Hydrogen. This will be used as a blend with natural gas to avoid changing appliances in homes. It will also be used as H2 in industrial uses.

ITM have CE marking of their products. This will provide validation to AFC systems. If they now have commercial availability for the 20kw and 160kw containerised systems I would expect that CE marking must be imminent or perhaps already in hand just not yet publicised to the market for one reason or another. Who knows eh ?

Ogggs, I am not criticising, just venting frustration. I am not in a bad place with AFC. Also up about 150% on my average. Prepared to play the long game, as if 10 years is not long enough. Best of luck, keep holding and it will have its day.

If you mean frustrated then yes. Why would a long term holder like myself not be frustrated to see other green tech companies rising 7% in the day based in nothing and my investment fall back after breaking into another sector for one of its products. Doesnt make sense.

Haggis, we have been saying this for 10 years yet AFC are the only ones to have devalued the business. I am completely in agreement that this has huge potential to be multiples of where it has stagnated. I just wish for my own and every other long term holder that this happens soon. We must get out of the 20's above the 50's and into the 70's soon. I dont blame the management. I think they have been very active in finding customers. The technology developments have been fantastic and I would place this above CWR although they have very different target markets I would expect that to upscale the CWR product to compete with an AFC product would be to costly for the customers. That is why I feel the superior product with greatest potential is here.

I believe that carbon neutral construction is an OFGEM challenge set for the gas networks in the UK. With some of the major projects such as HS2 you would think that carbon neutral construction should be offered at least as an alternative bid. It may cost more than standard construction but should be easy to justify the additional cost (I expect this to be limited in the grand scheme of a project) given the current situation and benefits to the environment. AFC providing the solution to offgrid site establishment power solutions and electric construction vehicle charging. This would really demonstrate the capability of the system on some high profile projects.

Taskmaster. It is not necessarily a better direction than thr EV charger market. It is an additional market for the fuelcell product. I would not call 28p an unsustainable spike. The news resulted in an uplift in Market Cap reflective of entry into an additional market. The drop today in reality should be unsustainable but as it does not represent anywhere near fair value for the intellectual property of the products that AFC Energy have developed and are in the process of commercialisation. Let's not forget that AFC have developed a low cost solution, not just a solution that worries about cost later. The solution is very customer focused to ensure that it is not only green but competitive in relation to other sources of energy generation. Apart from the lack of trust in AFC and the false dawn's of the past, it is beyond me to understand why the value of AFC is 1/8th of CWR and 1/14th of ITM irrespective of turnover.

Same old story. 10 years of this. This is the best value share between ITM, CWR and AFC yet we are the ones struggling to post a rise.

Desalination is a very inefficient process with high energy consumption and costly materials. I just assumed that the Alkamem may be a huge benefit in the process. I think AFC and Acciona is a great fit in more ways than one. I am sure they will explore what is available and how it can be of benefit.
