Who are the main competitors for Verditek in respect of the current PV cells ? Not considering the Paragraf integration as this is not available yet ?

Considering any competitors products, what are the main advantages with Verditek ?

Any responses would be appreciated.

back in February we heard this.

'I have left until last my comments on the commercial market not because it is unimportant but rather to lay out the firm foundations upon which we are setting out our market stall. These applications range from charging hubs for taxis, powering trains, en route charging on motorways, urban destination charging and fleet charging. Current end user demand can be satisfied by our current product offering but all our prospective customers recognise that they will need to continue to invest in more infrastructure in the coming years as the number of electric vehicles grows.'

Some of those solutions they were talking about over 3 months ago seemed fairly advanced at that stage. Would expect that something must become clearer very shortly.

I can see major grid issues if they think that all that power will come from the distribution networks. 70000 charging stations and 7000 fast charging stations is a big ask. And that is just Germany. What about the rest of the world. These figure would put huge demand exisiting distribution networks and would cost billions in upgrades. The AFC solution is a non permanent option which would avoid the upgrades required and give purchasers some flexibility in where they situate the units.

I would not expect AFC to be able to keep up with demand should it really take of to that degree. But this would be a nice position to be in. Finding manufacturing partners and opening new startegic facilities would be my preferred option over not actually having any demand at all.

UHLF, your £1 share peice prediction is not impossible. I would like to think that break even at 7 Mw and capacity in Italy and Portugal could return a fairly decent annual return.

The installed cost is £1.5 per watt so 20Mw is £30m turnover just from Italian factory. Take off the 7Mw for break even assuming this includes operating costs and facility overheads it leaves 12Mw as profit ?

13Mw x £1.5 / w = £19.5m profit.

If you take in a P/E of 10 that's a fair valuation of £195m.

£195m/223m shares in issue is 87.4p.

Factor in additional capacity from Portugal production lines and you could easily see a £1 share price or at least a business that should have a valuation at that level.

Must not forget that we are assuming that the 7Mw is breakeven the remaining 13Mw is profit. I do very much doubt that though as there will be a cost of sales and manufacturing of the PV's which may not have been considered in the 7Mw breakeven estimate. However, to breakeven in one factory at a cost of 7Mw or £10.5m per annum would be a very high operating cost on its own for an automated production line.

Rocky, on the cusp of something very big after a long and agonising wait. I have hated being wrong for 10 years. Family just lose interest in the end. I would love to be able to say 'I knew I was right on this one'. It would validate the effort and research put in by everyone over that period. Research and sharing that has kept the LTHs to keep the faith through very dark times

I hope that any news regarding a sales contract will blow 50p out of the water. It is the missing piece of the jigsaw.

Further positive updates pushing us ever closer to a signed order should be enough to push this to, and underpin 50p. I am talking about further interest in Alkamem or an entirely new customer which can utilise the fuel cell system. I know its not an order but it does underpin the interest in the product.

Sales should come first from the most advanced negotiations. It was November last year Alkamem was touted. Ev charging was not far behind and the road show has been and gone. 500 interested potential customers were met in top of telephone enquiries and others received in the office.

Sitting on the fence about to fall off on the right side. Fingers crossed this week is a positive week and the seller could just be swallowed up on high volumes.

At the end of the video it talks about the joint development being succesul integrating graphene with a PV. What is the next steps and what does that actually mean for Verditek ?

cheaper. That's great. I wondered on the cost/benefit. If its cheaper and more efficient its a no brainer.

I looked at Paragraf. Seems they list Verditek on their website amongst several applications they are working on. Clever stuff.

As COVID restrictions are being eased I expect people to try and get back to normal. Much interest in renewable market at the moment and this is just a great option to disrupt fossil fuels. The next 5 years will see significant growth in renewable as technology advancements make them more competitive on cost with traditional fossil fuels.

Oil was expensive at the start. The relative cost of production has come down over the last 100 years or whatever it is. Same will happen with with green tech eventually replacing fossil fuels.

Responding to your earlier post, I believe I read that the current PV Efficiency is 20-22%. The graphene will hopefully take this to 25%. Doesnt sound like a huge improvement but apparently it is huge?

some very large late reported trades from Thursday. Expect they were worked limit orders placed and filled. Hopefully all buys but difficult to tell. I am expecting VDTK to continue on this path.

Hopefully filling capacity in the Italy factory with the £18m profit assuming overheads and running costs are acounted for in the 8Mw break even figure. Puting a 10 x P/E ratio on a reduced annual profit of say £12m should put the SP much higher at over 50p.

Factor in more capacity from the Portugal factory and we are away.

Just reading about Alkamem from November 2019 makes me think that it is a massive opportunity for AFC without having to do much more than licence or sell the membrane. They must be in some advanced negotiations for this by now. They claimed to be advanced in November, 7 months ago.

Come on AFC,etc get something nailed on and make the long term holders happy.

Actually, the biggest saving comes from fuel cost saving. The biggest fuel coat saving is replacing the idling time when stationary required to power the refrigeration unit. I expect the smaller door to door delivery drivers will spend more time idling than driving due to a higher number of stops.

But yes, oil and gas is a target market but looking at the other available products oil and gas market could also utilise the filtration products Verditek have to offer. Not read up much about the other products but will do that over the weekend. Who knows where they could go with those.

Haggis. Thanks. I have had my doubt about combusting hydrogen and its efficiency. Why burn it to gebeate power when you can yluse half the amount in a fuel cell and develop the same power or use the same quantity and develop twice as much.

just noticed the Tesco delivery vehicle going up my road. Its not just the large refrigerated trailers that require power but also the smaller door to door delivery vehicles. They obviously don't have the room up top for the size and number of PV's you would fit on the larger articulated vehicles but j expect that between Tesco, Waitrose (Ocado), Asda, Morrison, Sainsburys, Lidl, Aldi and possibly the Coop there must be thousands on the road in the UK alone.

When using hydrogen in combustion to generate power is it as efficient as using it in a fuel cell to generate power. I would expect that because combustion generated power requires moving parts that efficiency is lost through friction. Whereas with a fuel cell the chemical reaction particularly in an afc produces water and energy and very loss due to heat and frictional loss.

I expect that the waste heat of high temperature fuel cells could be harnessed to provide mechanical energy and thus hydrogen energy through a fuel cell would be more efficient than energy through hydrogen combustion ?

I don't know. I have a large investment in AFC Energy and have done for 10 years. I am hoping this will be the year for AFC.

VDTK is presenting a valid alternative to my green tech investments and I have taken a smaller holding here than AFC. I may invest free money from dividends back into VDTK. This would come from other stock holdings or may add some more through ISA allowances. I would like to see some more publicity for the products and continued buying from the market. I have to say that this does look like a great opportunity but there has to be market interest to keep the price rising. I did reduce my investment just before buying yesterday through fear of doing the wrong thing. Maybe it will drop a little and I will re-assess. At the moment I wish I had invested the larger amount which I had originally planned. I am learning to live with decisions.

Feeks, yes. Making some assumptions if capacity is filled then it could be that there is £19.5m in revenue after business overheads and factory running costs. This is speculative but I agree and had also read the same regarding the break even point.

Why set up a factory line in Portugal if they are not confident that the Italian factory can be filled to capacity?

I hold much promise for this. Was also reading about the Paragraph PV cell development. All sounds quite promising.

Expecting some progress on this aggressive exploitation through sales, partnership and licensing.

Its good to read over some of the older RNS'. Focus has been on EV and diesel genset repalcement for a while but the Alkamem could be the game changer. That was 7 months ago and nothing since. Not marked up in the broker note so expect this could add significant value to the business. Also presents very little effort in comparison to fuel cell manufacturing. Simple licencing or partnership or even sales of the membrane. Expect this can be produced by De Nora and AFC have capacity for prototype for development of the Hydro X cell S.

would like an update on Alkamem progress from the November 11th RNS.

This seemed to be advanced at this point which was well over 6 months ago. Appreciate we have had global lockdown but it would not stop interested parties pursuing this. It could be the where AFC receive first commercial receipts.

The RNS stated how promising the results had been, out performing expectations and anything else available in respect of competition. Uses include hydrogen production and water electrolysis both of which are growing markets and a market value per annum of £1bn for the membrane.

Progress to some degree is reflected in the Hydro-x cell (S) as the membrabe is used here. This cell is still on target for release in 2022. I expect AFC would receive orders for Alkamem much before then but for industries outside of fuel cells
