It's difficult to quantify cobalt resources as it's concentrated in other mineral ores mainly copper and nickel .
Panorama is quoted as having a cobalt area of 200 square metres that's 8 times the size of Blackhills

I noticed the cobalt concentration at Havieron to be 4107ppm that's nearly as high as Panorama but I haven't found which zone identified it.
Most cobalt will come from the copper and also the iron **** plus some concentrated in the waste rock

As far as I know there are too many variables with cobalt to define what tonnage comes from the copper.
Firstly you need the concentration, in the Congo it's about 6000ppm peak, Australia some are peaking at 4000+.
There is only a small percentage in copper concentrate less than 5% I believe, then there is also a small percentage in the iron **** and also in the waste rock.
As Jlp are dealing with tailings probably more will come from the **** and waste in my opinion

Ggp's first ground survey was in May/June 2018 and collected rock chip samples averaging 10g/t gold and a peak of 81g/t. Samples collected over a 3km length.
An Induced Polarisation survey identified an anomaly some 1000m long and helped to produce a 3D model rising to the surface in the NW and dipping down to 250m cover in the SW.

There is lots of historic drilling from 1974 by 13 different companies including an oil company, Newmont and 2 attempts by Newcrest. None of these were very deep and many missed the anomaly. No 73 seemed to have the best gold grades.
In the summer of 2019 another IP survey was carried out and found the anomaly was 400m longer.
A drilling campaign of 20 holes was carried out after the IP survey 4 cross sections:-
Section A Holes 12,10 and 11 west to east
Hole 13 drilled between A and B
Section B Holes 1 to 4
Section C Holes 9 to 5
Holes 17 and 18 further to the SW
Step out holes 14 15 16 and 20 found nothing of any significance

Significant results from No 10 36m at 0.36g/t from surface
No12 56m at 0.56g/t from 68m
No 11 12m at 0.57g/t from 32m
Composite result from only 2 holes with the best No 7 36m at 0.53g/t and .2% copper

The anomalies best results are in the NW closest to the surface and looks more likely to contain gold and silver . Copper deposits only found around Holes 7 and 8 the other holes copper has not been reported under 500ppm where gold is under 0.2%.

I think my remarks should be more aimed at Goliath the highest priority target and probably not Saddle reefs as the Blackhills surveys/ drilling campaign is way ahead of Scallywag a good 12 months.
Scallywag and Paterson Range East are probably at the same point of surveys complete waiting for drilling programme.
Goliath is classed as a high priority target but it's been put behind the Scallywag programme so there must be a good reason for doing so.

One reason could be just sensible infilling between Havieron and Blackhills and then moving on to Paterson Range East ..

The shear size of Scallywag will limit the targets with the available resources and probably the same with the Goliath area.

Well whatever happens wherever there going to drill I'm sure Ggp will have chosen the right locations for the best results.

Ggp have 2 High priority targets in Saddle Reef and the gigantic Havieron lookalike Goliath.
I am just speculating here but why are they not drilling these first before Scallywag?
Is there something bigger on Scallywag maybe.
Are they just proving up one Licence at a time to conform to the Licence requirements?
Is it because it's close to Havieron for fascilities?
My favourite conspiracy theory is NCM have asked for it to be done for another JV.

Take another look at Goliath it's another biggy. 3 historical drills missed it. Similar geochemistry to Havieron, it's been peppered with MMI survey at 200m spacing.
Why are they leaving it to after Scallywag?

I'm still sat on my hands with what I have with Tw. Before 2008 city centre flats construction were booming and Tw moved in big time. Well looks like the next boom will be converting town centre stores into apartments and I believe Tw will move in at some point. Buying land is for the future

Is there any reference anywhere to find out what happens to Jlp waste/ tailings after they produce the copper concentrate. If they're only obtaining 10-11% copper that leaves a fair amount of tailings/waste , will there be a new tailings dam needed.
It is a big cost item.

The risk with TW at the moment is high even with sales improving at the moment, no one knows what's around the corner.
Metals market is still rising, to sale now and buy into a falling market doesn't seem to be the right thing to do, but everyone to their own way is ok.

Re estimates
I hope investors won't get disillusioned when the sulphide zone estimates are published.
I keep looking at the measurements and grades published and keep getting the same results:-
High grade top zone =1.4moz @5g/t
middle zone = 850,000oz @3g/t
lower zone = 150,000oz @1.5g/t
Total 2.4moz

The Breccia zone around the sulphide
= 7.4moz
That's not including the arms of the crescent or the new zone
The Post Mineral Dyke I've not deducted as I'm not sure which zones it splits.
But 9.8moz less the dyke still seems very good to me plus the arms and the new zone, it might get to 15moz yet.
(allowance for Bamps maths +/-10%):))))

Cobalt yesterday was $33,200 per ton but down from its 2018 high of $100,000.
For the Uk to meet its zero carbon deadline of 2050 it will take all of the worlds cobalt production.
The Congo is the worlds largest producer of cobalt at 60% and controlling interest mainly Chinese. All the major tech stocks are being pressured to use a more sustainable resource to stop the child labour involved, so that could put more emphasis on the Sable Refinery

Yes I agree that the smaller countries will not want or can't afford to change but they might have to.
Take Trinidad one of the largest producers of ammonia which is made from hydrogen and nitrogen, the hydrogen comes from removing CO2 from natural gas and therefore one of the big carbon emitters. Looking forward and change this to hydrogen from renewables then anyone country could make their own ammonia.
Trinidad will have to change.

That's made it a lot clearer for me.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of info of what other minerals will be coming out of the refining process, I can't see any sampling results on the tailings.
Copper concentrate from ore normally contains about 30% copper and the rest being gold, silver, iron, nickel and loads of other minerals.
There must be an add on value to the copper as well from these minerals.

One additional cost for the joint venture is the waste/tailings produced while making the concentrate and also land reinstatement or this down to Jlp

Back to oilers en masse - you need a rethink of your strategy.
By the time this stock has run it's coarse oil use will be plummeting.
Renewables is the future market to get to zero emissions by 2050 not oil.
Cars will be nearly all electric by 2030 but even this will not be sustainable as there is not enough copper or cobalt to achieve it.
Trucks, trains, planes will all be on hydrogen.
Hydrogen in a few years will replace Natural Gas. Bosch boilers are already making theirs to run on hydrogen.
oil will still be needed but the likes of Saudi etc will be fighting over sales reducing the price making smaller finds uneconomical.
I don't believe the small investor will ever make their fortune in oil stocks something always jumps up and bites you!
