Havieron is in the top slot for future growth for NCM above Red Chris and Cadia extension.

He's really excited about the Breccia
mineralisation.

The high grade zone is still open at depth.

Telfer can still be a Tier 1 asset with ore from Havieron.

It was an NCM meeting not a GGP one, he wants investors to invest in his company not another one.

I did a similar post recently with similar views but my thoughts on what might happen are a bit radical.
The costs for GGP of the Decline and mining could be offset for a 10-20% share of Scallywag and or Saddle Reef.
Saddle Reef would be great for NCM , the Northern end ideal for an open pit, quick to get the ore to Telfer .
Before I'm shouted down like last time, my thoughts are if Scallywag and Blackhills are left to GGP to deal with, they could be sat there for a long time. Whereas with NCM jv the drilling exploration and mining will be a lot quicker.
25-30% ownership of a vast mining area would be worth far more than the Havieron jv.

Even with a 10m oz deposit Havieron can't be classed as a Tier 1 asset without an NPV value.
Until NCM decide how to mine and the associate costs, an NPV value will not be available.
Telfer will not be a Tier 1 asset again without Havieron as a Tier 1 asset also needs to have a 20 year life.

Open at depth is still an exciting prospect but I'm not expecting great tonnages from the high grade zone at this depth.
It's the Breccias mineralisation that sounds more promising and still open at depth and to the NW

In 2019 Barrick gold combined 2 mines in Nevada to make it a Tier 1 asset.
It sounds like Newcrest's intention to combine Telfer and Havieron into a Tier 1 asset.

Something called a Singer line defines world class assets not only tonnages but also on NPV values of >$250m NPV
or
>$300m pa revenue
or >250,000oz gold pa or 3.3moz deposit
or > 200,000t copper pa or 2mt copper
or > 800,000t zinc and lead pa
or 1.7mt zinc &1mt Lead deposit
or I'm presuming a combination of minerals

It's quite striking how the number of Tier 1 & 2 asset discoveries have fallen from the year 2000 albeit the graphs have not upto date detail from 2005.
In 2016 the rules for classification of Tier 1 assets were tightened

I've been here sometime now and have held Bryant's,Taylor Woodrow and now TW for 40 years.
The amount of news these house builders have ever given to small shareholders is kept to a minimum. We have at best 2 constructive Updates per year and maybe a broker question and answers.
The amount of detail that these bulletin boards can participate in is limited and even any detail of sites on their web sites is limited.
Every year directors are buying and selling for what ever reason.
If you read between the lines of the banter on this site you can pick details of what is happening in reality. For an example the experts are all reporting a big recession is looming but reading what these lads are saying the workload is still buoyant. Is that the time to buy, I wouldn't like to say but if they start talking about the workload slacking off is that a time to sell.

You need to keep your minds open to everything and not shut things out because it's not what you like or want to hear.
This board has always been very friendly and much better than other boards.
If the banter stops this Board will dry up.

A happy/safe site is all down to the Site Manager. It's a fine line being in the centre of everything, keeping everyone involved with the site happy in the way it's run.
Kidology is a good way to sum it up and being able to get the best out of everyone, bit hard sometimes especially with upper management breathing down your neck wanting more profit, more production and safety paperwork.
Very stressful position and glad I'm out of it, so don't be too hard on your site managers you don't know what pressures they have each day.

That share price just won't move, I'm still under with that one from Stellar days.
I was a bit disappointed they sold off the Welsh gold to Alba. By the way Alba issued a presentation last week with plans to introduce a small processing system. For anyone wanting to know what's involved in processing the ore its well worth taking a look. I sold out there sometime ago and put in here that sp never moves either.
It just goes to show that small miners struggle without a joint venture and Alba are thinking small to start with.

The speed of this JV with Newcrest on the Havieron project has been quite astonishing. The projected works seem to me to be overtaking the Jv phases.
We are expecting more drilling, maybe a partial MRE and the PFS before the year end which should complete Phase 3 meaning Newcrest would have earned 60%.
The Decline is expected imminently maybe before Xmas but definitely afterwards. The Decline is not in the Jv and should have been after Phase 4 and the full FS.
There are 2 points I would like to raise is Phase 4 coming sooner than we think and are Ggp liable for 40% of the cost of the Decline until Phase 4 is complete

I can't see them moving the processing plant anytime soon, it's not just the plant but also the tailings and waste water to consider. They have only one tailing heap open at the moment so other sites may have to be considered .

There are multiple targets on Scallywag and the geophysical surveys have picked out 4 priority targets of interest.
The IP survey completed over the Northern third of the licence assisted in the 3D modelling of the area.
In the coming drill campaign they will be targeting the 4 areas identified but also concurrently an IP survey will be carried out over the southern section of the licence.
This survey will assist in highlighting further areas of interest and complete their modelling of Scallywag.
