The news today is not something that surprised me. I thought there would be an enquiry at some point. It must be 18 months since they addressed most of the issues regarding the leases. The only stumbling block I can remember was when the properties in question were sold on.

It's in the middle of nowhere at Carey, no noise, no signal, great food. Featured in the Telegraph.
Also my favourite Italian restaurant the Olive Tree up the road in Ledbury .
Not sure I know anywhere else in Ross as good.

Telfer use the Floatation method and then a cyanide circuit, their not heap leaching at this moment as far as I'm aware.

They have enough approvals for waste rock/tailings site just to cover Telfer's mine life, so transporting waste may be an issue unless they can start filling in the mine when it's exhausted.
60 hectares of tips have been reclaimed so far.
In 2018 Telfer used mainly diesel fuel , Natural gas used was nil

Water could be used to keep the dust down but I would expect more extraction methods than water.
My thinking for that is the arsenic content, mixing it with water gives a big pollution problem while it is in its mineral form it's fairly safe apart from the dust which in itself is a big hazard.
In the block caving method the crusher grinder is underground and then sent to surface to be crushed again.
I'm not sure how they take arsenic out of the floatation process but the majority goes into the copper mattes.
From what I know the floatation water and residue are put into ponds to settle and then the water is recycled and the tailings are pumped into waste heaps with the 'gange ' or waste rock.
The crushed ores go through sophisticated sorting machines before the floatation process .

The mention of tailings seems to suggest to me they may have intentions to produce the concentrate at Havieron.
Tailings are the residue left after the floatation process , the "scum" floating is then roasted and formed into concentrate. I doubt if they would transport it back to Telfer to roast but maybe.
Apart from the lack of waste area at Telfer I can't see why they would want to build anything else.

If there are plans to build a concentrate plant at Havieron which the mining lease seems to implicate Telfer could be less important to Ggp.
The concentrate is made into mattes and sent to SE asia processing plants and turned into anodes and from there into the 99.9% cathodes.
The mattes contain upto 30% copper and the processing plant will pay the producer credits for all other minerals that are left inc gold,silver,cobalt , iron etc and debits for minerals like arsenic .
When the anodes are turned into cathodes the residues also contain valuable minerals.

A new plant at Havieron and a tailings area will need extensive ground investigation and drilling before any works are commenced, which is why I always thought the SW area was the decline area

Cobalt seems to get overlooked here at the moment and probably quite rightly but it certainly is going to be a big earner for Ggp.
Cobalt always comes as part of copper and nickel ores.
At Havieron grades of 4104 ppm have been found, the highest globally is over 6000 ppm in the Congo.
Prices have been fluctuating between $28000pt to 33000pt. This is mainly due to being exposed to the copper and nickel prices.
It's uses are mainly as the cathode in Li-ion batteries. Up to 30% in weight of a battery, technology is gradually bringing this down to 2% mainly by Tesla.
By 2030 it is estimated that electric vehicles will require the whole of global 2018 production figures if the weight is down to 2% leaving nothing for other uses.
According to the Cobaltinstitute.org prices will rise from last years low of $26/kg to $126/kg with low copper and nickel prices.
Well at the moment copper stocks are at their all time low and nickel prices are storming away which should also lead to higher Co prices.
The institute is saying that if serious investment in Co exploration and extraction are not made immediately shortages will be inevitable leading to very high prices.

from the Telfer sustainability report they have 6 waste tips full and are using just 1 at present. I've remarked before they may have to find an area at Havieron for a tailings area.
I was expecting a crushing plant to get the ore to a more easily transportable size, it needs to be pea size for the flotation process.
The tailings come from the flotation process and this takes a lot of water which will have to be found from somewhere.
I can't see the copper concentrate or the gold dores being produced at Havieron what would become of the Telfer plant

Trying to put costs around something with so much potential is mind blowing.
Just to consider another way of looking at it :-
£500m+ for Havieron market cap at its present status
When the other licences get to the same point then potentially finding good grades and quantities:-
Blackhills and Scallywag £500m+ mcap
Panorama £500m+
Paterson Range East £500m+
Ernest Giles and Bromus £500m+
Warrentina and Firetower £300m+
Rudall ?
Probably get some stick with these but I'm averaging some out as targets like Goliath may make more on its own.
E.G. is an unknown for me as the last results they were still increasing the size but it does say 5m oz targets + 1m oz camps and Nickel prices are storming away for the Carnegie target.
If all these targets without Havieron reach £1bn mcap that would make the sp still worth 24p without Havieron and that to me looks low but only my best guesstimate but would keep a permanent smile on my face.

I am sure your target of 30p is totally justified on GDXJ grounds alone but the long term added value are the assets which are virtually unquantifiable at this present time.

Welsh Falcon is right, no one here can give you a figure too many unknowns.
The only targets you can go on are the brokers which keep getting outdated.

On the Residual Gravity Survey London and Kraken are both in a low intensity area.
That new drill position you showed Sca001 looks like it's in a very low intensity area.
There must be something favourable about low intensity areas, the only thing I know about this type of survey it produces 2D images rest is far too over my head for my little brain:((
