Concentrating is not on any account the way forward to reduce transport.
Some gold is picked out by a very expensive sorter but the rest of it you need a big chemistry set.

The way you see it this is what would happen:-
Telfer would close and all the plant taken to Havieron, the cost of reinstatement of the landscape,a new tailings lake at Havieron, more infrastructure , access roads to get to Port Headland, new gas main, electrical generators.
The costs may out way mining Havieron.
I think you need to do rethink your thought process

The gold Dore bars come before the concentrator.
The obvious solution is to crush the ore to reduce the volume as broken solid rock bulks up to 3 or 4 time the volume.
If it is still too much to install a ball mill to grind the ore to an even smaller size and reduce the waste rock and the volume even more.
You wouldn’t want to bring anymore equipment, due to cost parameters and electric production .

Not knowing what the final mining plan will be will keep the transport issue in abeyance.
A conveyor will certainly be needed at some point from the bottom of the ore and will need its own Decline. At a 1:5 slope this could end up coming out of the ground between London/Blackbeard/Kraken.
An overland conveyor could then take a shorter straighter path to Telfer.
I have to say I would still be worried about gold, copper dust and contaminants blowing off the track

There’s a few long historical documents you will be interested in

Drillers will not drill through the cover sequence with a diamond drill would be a waste of time if the ground is soft and very expensive.
Air core is the cheapest but you looking at 100m max, there has been a lot of these drills around Swan and Barbossa waste of time doing anymore.
Reverse circulation drill is the best for exploration 800m max but more efficient to go between 5-600m, if they find anything put a sleeve down the hole to be able to put a diamond drill in and then can go deeper.
That’s why exploration drills don’t go to deep unless they’re confident of lower targets.
The first historical holes at Havieron were about 5-600m so ALWAYS expect shallower drills.
Most of the hundred or so holes on Blackhills and North Scallywag average around 60-70m

Paddy gave me the Ming gold report 2014 to read where Sam Garret used to be a director the target that he wanted to explore was Teach and Blackbeard not Apollo. All the other targets on PRE and Artemis licence were in conclusive
It was Ming that commissioned a more deeper detailed magnetic survey on Havieron and suggested a 2m oz resource.

Are they saving the best till last but geophys hasn’t been done yet over Teach or Rudall

In my humble opinion I think the Northern magnetic target is an extension of the eastern breccia intrusion following a fault line. Looks to me these 2 will probably be connected .
Whether the Northern magnetic is connected to Apollo is anyone’s guess at the moment, I’m unsure of Goldworm’s theory at the moment after the talk of other Dykes running SE-NW it could be another one of these.
The anticline theory of Havieron hasn’t materialised as was earlier thoughts.
Apollo I don’t think will provide Havieron type grades, the geochemistry seems weaker in my view.
Remember what they said about Nimitz , Havieron sucked all the mineralisation away from it.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed though for a good find.
I hope they stick a drill out to the SE on the Havieron tail just to see what’s there, it’s quite remarkable that the vegetation follows the same shape.

Thanks for that I have seen those before but it didn’t help me solve the issue of the historical drill coordinates between drills 9101(1991 01) , 9201(1992 01) and 9501,2&3 (1995).
As you can see from your links there was a change in 1995 from 1962 and 1984, so the coordinates didn’t match between the first drills and the latter.
It also didn’t help that all the different States used different starting points (Datums), until it was unified into different zones across Australia. Havieron is in zone 51 which is referenced quite often.
Australia is different to the UK our Ordinance Survey Datums are just Height based on the mean tide height at Newlyn Cornwall. Our Latitudes are based on the equator being zero and coordinates increase to the north.
Australia base their new system on the Equator being 10,000 decreasing southwards.
The added complication has come about with the introduction of google satellite coordinates using decimals which is why the 2020 revisions have come about.

After all that I’m still confused with the historical drill coordinates of 9501,2&3 still non the wiser ,

Technology bounding along at a pace but platinum will get phased out.
By the time hydrogen cars replace electric they won’t be using platinum catalysts.
Platinum is a precious resource we can’t throw it away , we need it in chemotherapy treatments, better that than catalysts but not so much needed.

I did what you asked and looked at EUA not looked before.
I’ve come away knowing my money is in a better place.
A few points I came up with:-

Gold mentioned on their Urals project stated as 76kg of native gold. Native gold can contain anything between 75-90% gold so that works out at 1800 oz plus the small % in the raw PGM.
Raw PGM make 65% of the asset.
Palladium and platinum are used in diesel and petrol catalytic converters a diminishing market. 30% of their uses are in catalysts hardly any go into electric cars apart from in the computer chips and screens.
They are saying there will be a growing demand for hybrids still needing catalyst, I think that statement is tongue in cheek that’s not what is happening.
Scientists are worried about platinum emissions effecting vegetation getting into their roots and animals eating them.
The other licence in the north was discovered in 2006 and still not producing.
To be honest I’m glad I’m in Ggp feels safer

This map shows the magnetic anomaly and historical drill positions
The grey dot below the red labels of 6 and 10 is historical drill 9101 (I called it 9201 in my last post),
It’s vertical not angled , 9201 is about 100m to NW and 9501 to the SW about 300m.
You can see 9501 will be outside the anomaly, the other 2 are inside the weaker section

The grey dot in the centre near 01 has hit crackle breccia this is 9202?
The grey dot to the NW of this is 9203 again into weak crackle.
Not sure what the one is to the east I haven’t found that one.
It certainly looks like there should be more to the SSE

Byrnecut machines seem to be well used not the latest spec unfortunately.
There is a shortage of trucks and mining equipment in Australia at the moment

The gravity anomaly actually extends to the S, SE
3 historical drills 9201,9201 and 9501? Sit on the SW edge of it.
Could mineralisation extend further in this direction I’m not sure but there is some sort of extension in that direction as seen in the last reports but maybe not as far out as the Eastern breccia

While I’ve been working on my sketches the 2 historical drills 9201 and 2 were found to be outside the oval to the SW and W.
They have gone about 150m lower than the cover sequence and there are signs of low mineralisation.
At their positions the drill end is above the decline depth.
I have been quietly hopeful of hitting something on the way to the ore but it’s not going to halt the decline from the high grade target

I doubt if the trucks are entering the decline yet, there will be a lot of shuffling around between the jumbo driller, excavator and the bogger going in and out

I don’t think the PFS will tell us that will be just the initial works, will they wait for the full FS I’m not sure on that.
A conveyor will definitely be needed for the bulk caving but that will be way down whether it can be liked to one higher up for the sub level caving I don’t know

I think the answer to that is they are undecided on what future mining method or methods to use.
Stoping initially will be by trucks and upto 2m tons.
If they go for sub level caving they will have to get down to 350m level so may need to think about a conveyor decline then or it maybe 700m.
