I think this brings home to people how important O'Callaghan is to the global economy and specifically could propel Telfer into a major mining centre.

Ggp are not a one trick pony, people need to realise this plenty more to come.

Now Deserts Revenge pops up, couldn't have happened at a better time.

If anybody has followed my posts over the years I very rarely comment about what the shares are doing. Why should I? I can't do anything about it bar watch and deal when it's suits me.

I'm more interested in how the company is run, how the assets perform and the potentials.

The share price will follow the assets when the time is right.

I tend to skip irrelevant posts about the share price, they don't interest me at all.

I calculate revenue before costs of US$600m per annum at O'Callaghans at today's prices .

Total AISC should be somewhere similar to Telfer underground costs per ton.

They are definitely historic.

On Fig 16 it shows the one shown in the logs and it says historic drill underneath it.

Those 2 drills are historical ones as far as i know.

Newcrest "sanitised " the whole area around the tailings pond 7 with a broad grid spacing of drills, so these 2 could have been part of that drill campaign.

Ggp must have been intrigued by those 2 high drill intercepts and decided to pay for an MT survey to find out what was underneath.

Is it that Frenchman's "Telfer sister" ?

They are saying the O'Callaghan ore can be treated with normal floatation circuit.

How they will fit it in is the problem.

I haven't seen anything from Newcrest about Deserts Revenge and I've seen nothing in any scientific papers . Two drills have tested the cover and it has good grades, Ggp have had a survey to target what's below and it looks a remarkable lookalike to Telfer. Extremely exciting.

I'm not sure how big that Cove deposit is, all depends what they are measuring. It certainly seems different to O'Callaghans. This is a big resource to have could be 20 years production from it.

It will all be stoped with the high grade zones of lead and zinc first. These zones may contain the highest proportion of tungsten in the anomaly.

I'm excited by what could be underneath finding the primary source, we have a very similar situation at the Camp Dome.

Shaun's comment about O'Callaghan, may be tongue in cheek but he said it has loads of copper, and then the US put it on their critical list. 🙂

The last remarks about O'Callaghan seem to go away from a sale to a jv or go it alone.

They seem to have a handle on how to process it and a marketable commodity. I personally hope they go it alone.

They must be looking at it as they've suggested the magnetic surveys are showing a larger resource. They are intending to investigate this by drilling.

Newcrest suggested there were 2 anomalies O'Callaghan South and North. It's the southern one which has been modelled.

Ggp also want investigate the primary resource underneath, searching for gold probably.

Trotmans stockwork nearby also has a Tungsten content.

A little bit further to the NE we have the new anomaly Deserts Revenge .

All within a few kilometres of O'Callaghan.

The mining rate at O'Callaghans , Newcrest stated at 3mtpa. This would produce 0.8 to 1t of WO3 concentrate at between 60-65% .

Tungsten ores and concentrates sell on the basis of their tungsten oxide (WO3) content. The ore undergoes gravity separation to concentrate it at the mine. A chemical flotation process can remove additional impurities to increase the concentration before shipping. The industry standard for first grade tungsten concentrates is a minimum of 65% WO3.

The trade in tungsten concentrates has decreased since many of the companies controlling the mine output have vertically integrated to produce tungsten intermediates. The most common of the intermediates are ammonium paratungstate (APT) and tungsten oxides such as yellow tungsten oxide (YTO) and blue tungsten oxide (BTO).

Tungsten is very confusing subject we don't know what they are actually comparing those ores with what will be produced.

Newcrest were quoting in 2014 O'Callaghan producing 170,000 ton @ 0.29% which gives 58mt of inferred ore.

Cove are sending their ore to a downstream processor to produce an ammonium paratungstate.

APT has to be roasted to form a WO3 concentrate so most miners sell an APT product.

Ggp will be floating their ore to form zinc, lead and copper concentrate and then gravity to remove the tungsten. Which can then be floated to remove impurities. This then forms 2 types of WO3 concentrate.

Ggp may sell WO3 concentrate by the look of things.

Regarding Havieron ore the infrastructure and development access to the first level is a long way off yet. They may be able to get some ore out in the end of 2027, there won’t be any development ore from the Western front as all the access drives and shafts are outside the ore body. They may be first Ore to come out will be when they drive the stopes through the sulphides a 5m x 5m tunnel x 50m or so long then it has to be drilled for blasting.

There’s only 1.6mt forecast in the first year, it will be a slow start, ramping up as the infrastructure opens up more levels.

They may be only development ore will come the Eastern front to the east of the dyke, but that won’t be a lot if the mine plan stays as is. Personally I would like to see the infrastructure on the outside of the orebody.

That Stag meeting was the first one I attended. Tig had a plate made with all the names of posters on the Board at that time and couldn’t understand why I wasn’t on it. I had only just started posting on Ggp at that point.
