The share price reached record levels after Newcrest Board approved Early Works funding for Havieron of $146m for 100% of the project .
On the 20th Jan the first 3 holes of Scallywag were released not reaching market expectations the share price declined sharply.
These results however picked out anomalous pathfinder minerals and these indicated to a new target named Teach after results from an AEM survey.
The AEM survey also picked out numerous new targets around the area called Blackhills South, one target named Swan.

21st Jan saw the early construction works commence on the Box cut

28th Jan
Stunning drill results
5 drills reported intercepts over 100m in length between 2g/t and 3.6g/t plus copper between 0.27% and 0.6%.

Progress though was being hampered by bad weather and backlog in the assay lab for the core results.

February
Shaun Day commenced his appointment as CEO on the 8th
Van Eck increased their holding to nearer 6%

A new licence applied for at Canning containing the bulk of a magnetic bullseye anomaly next to a crustal fault similar to Havieron

Works programme agreed with Newcrest for early exploration works on the Juri joint venture with Newcrest

Drill results were slowed by bad weather and lab delays but still produce 3 intercepts over 100m long over 1.7g/t and up to 0.63% copper

2 licences were applied for at Ernest Giles, one of these was relinquished in 2020 containing the Wishbone target (nothing to do with the other company) which has had extensive survey work completed on it.

Warrantina rock chips

“the two targets areas of Forester and Warrentinna.
results include:
Soil sampling returned highs of 666.5ppb and 1,308ppb Au.
Rock chip samples returned highs of 44.6g/t, and 464g/t Au.
Confirming the historic reports of the high-grade nature of mineralisation in the area.
The sampling extrapolates mineralised strike lengths of up to 6km in both areas with other areas of the tenement yet to be fully evaluated.”

Saddle Reefs
· A total of 28 rock chip samples were collected at Saddle Reefs and 11 of these samples returned gold values over 10g/t gold;
· High grade gold results include 81.7g/t, 45.7g/t, 37.6g/t, 33.9g/t, 28.2g/t, 23.5g/t, 19.6g/t, 17.5g/t, 14.1g/t, 13.0g/t and 12.4g/t;
· Many rock chip results returned high silver values (up to 106.1g/t silver);
· Importantly, these results roughly quadruple the strike length of gold mineralization identified at surface from 200 metres to approximately 800 metres.
Many also showed high silver including 106.1g/t, 89.0g/t, 38.2g/t, 28.2g/t, 20.4g/t, 14.9g/t, 14.6g/t, 13.88g/t, 13.0g/t, 12.8g/t, 11.3g/t 10.9g/t and 10.4g/t.

A27 where they’re about to start drilling
“At the Eastern prospect a linear zone of gold mineralised stratigraphy is apparent over a strike of approximately 4km. Historical surface rock chip results include 1.9g/t gold, 1.2g/t gold and 1.0g/t gold. Broad spaced drilling along the zone has returned results including 1m at 10.0g/t gold from 16m (CBH138), 1m a 4.93g/t from 12m (CBH071) and 1m at 3.12g/t from 37m (NBH004). The mineralisation appears to track along a structural contact and the focus will be on identifying the higher grade mineralisation along this trend.”

Rogers and Northern Granites seem to be lower down the priority order
“The other prospects of Rogers and Northern Granites show prospective gold mineralisation at surface with historical rock chip results including 50.2g/t and 10.45g/t at Rogers and 6.9g/t at Northern Granites. Drill testing is limited but results have included 1m at 1.48g/t from 38m (NBH008) at Rogers and 1m at 2.35g/t gold from 5m (CBH253) at Northern Granites.”

The SE deeps seem to be targeted from the north.
The Eastern Breccia deeps at the east end are coming from the west/southwest.
I’m presuming they are picking these routes to infill other zones on the way down.
The bore holes for the paste plant maybe 2x 150mm dia sleeved for the pump pipes to get down.
I don’t believe these will be started till the mine plans are fixed. RC drilling is ok for 400-600m , 600-800m at a stretch

I think they are still testing the Dyke in the north and the Zipa target.
To the south by the infrastructure there’s been a lot of bore holes.
The paste plant is planned for that area by the Lake Havieron some of the drilling could be bore holes for water supply and eventually one or two bore holes to pump paste down

Thanks for the info on the new pads.
A27 on Blackhills hasn’t been drilled before, it’s at the north end of the old Eastern target.
A lot of historical wildcat drills have been drilled all around it. That new pad is on a track near the centre of it.
The 2 near Swan are targeting the conductors mentioned in the last Swan RNS
One conductor plate is to the west of A33 Swan and the other pad is targeting 2 plates east of Pearl A32.
There’s another plate to the east of Swan to keep an eye out for.

3 pads at Havieron to the north of the explosive store still seem to be targeting Zipa and the Dyke area, they haven’t given up yet with Zipa

Newcrest mining plan announced in the PFS contained a 2million ton per annum SLOS stoping plan to mine the high grade zones of the SE crescent.

This was a complete change from earlier thinking of bulk mining this zone .
Reasons :- further information of the shape of the Dyke didn’t lend itself to this form of mining and secondly it would have taken too long to set up to keep Telfer going.

In the PFS they hinted that a 3mt per annum plan and beyond would be looked at in the Feasibility Study.

Ggp MRE mining plan is a 3mt pa operation based on a slightly increased high grade zone of the SE crescent.

Page 20 is hinting a larger mining plan is being looked at.
In the inset there is shown a plan of a stoping layout for the northern corridor.
This has been taken from an earlier NCM plan shown in the Environmental Assessment application.
I’m expecting the 3mt plan to be superseded very quickly.
On the plan and sections on page 18 and 19 you can see the high grade zones in the central area
This is what I think may happen:-

The first level zone in the 3m ton plan has the
Western, Eastern and Northern fronts
Containing 2 levels of stopes
First one at 70m depth of ore
2nd one at 130m depth

The NW pod is at 130m depth
That makes a 4th front may be opened up at 130m depth.

The second layer of fronts also has 3 zones W,E and N with 3 stoping levels at 230m, 280m and 350m
These can all be extended into the Northern corridor.

Therefore the central zone fronts are likely to come into play very quickly maybe in the First Ore category, I’m expecting the FS to concentrate on the 3mt pa but with amendments to include the Central Front.
Studies will or have been undertaken to see how to get more ore out of the mine through the Decline or other means.

Following receipt of the finalised Works Approval, the first cell of the landfill will be constructed, and the application for the Category 89 Premises registration as described in Schedule 1 and as per regulation 5B of the Environmental Protection Regulation 1987 will be submitted. Once approved, this registration will allow the operation and progressive development of the Site during Stage 1 of the Project, with landfilling activities concluding at the end of this period in Q1 2024.”

I saw straight through BPC that drill between Cuba and Bahamas was never going to come up trumps.
Cuba had drilled 4 duff wells close by.
I voted against the merger and sold CERP at a loss and put most of it here and regained my losses for which I’m very grateful.
Petersalkeid is the only one who came with me as far as I know, most lost as much as 95%, big shock.

I do make known my negative views on Ggp and a few on here can vouch for that. I haven’t many of those though and I’m always looking for issues

At the time I was in Cerp well engrossed with it until the merger with BPC came. I smelt disaster and I sold and took a hefty loss. Only a few came with me the rest suckered by a BPC poster who convinced them to stay, they now are all sat on big losses.
I won’t let that happen again.!
I am retired my kids are all set up , I haven’t got any worries about pensions SIPP mortgage.
This is my hobby , I’m not paid by anyone I just like researching a lot and finding out new things.
Putting my knowledge on here helps me to keep a library of notes that I can look at.
With Cerp I had 10 years of notes in a file, all went in the compost.
Your dirty tricks accusations / theories I’m afraid you need to look elsewhere I am one of my own.”

Why do NCM need Havieron?
Well Telfer is the answer, even 2 years ago Telfer ore was virtually depleted but higher gold prices have meant weaker ore grades have come in to play extending its life a little.
What if Havieron hadn’t been found?
Well I was reading this about Rio closures policy

They are having to spend $500m to reinstate the ground at a mine that wasn’t theirs a legacy issue from a takeover.
Havieron is saving NCM $500m at least in reinstatement costs plus the added benefits of Havieron tailings waste going into the Telfer tailings pond. That means no new tailings pond at Havieron and only 1 reinstatement instead of 2 in the future.

I can hear a big sigh of relief from NCM that Telfer has a slight extension waiting for the Havieron ore to arrive.
Why are people saying this is a buy? because it’s an unstoppable movement towards production it’s not going to slow down.
