MMI results26 Nov 2022 17:42
GGP haven’t issued many MMI results
This is what to look out for:-
Generally, when interpreting MMI data, values of less than 25 times background are considered not significant, values between 25 and 50 times background are considered possibly significant, values between 50 and 100 times background are considered significant, values between 100 and 200 times background are considered very significant and values more than 200 times background are considered highly significant.
We had one at Blackbeard which gave a copper reading of 2750ppb
Background copper is around 70, so it falls in the category of “ possibly significant “
At Havieron copper result was 710ppb so not significant,
These 2 differences are mainly down to the depth of cover
At Havieron that result is only twice what you would expect coming out of your tap after standing for a while.
Blackbeard however has little cover drilling has been sp**** and the source not defined.
Gold has targets for MMI results
>1ppb is considered significant
>10pm is considered very significant
>100ppb is considered very exceptional
Relating those to Ernest Giles we have results for
Meadows 68ppb
Empress 338ppb
At first glance Empress looks fantastic but it’s deep and was originally 90km long with multiple targets.
The new area is a lot smaller but contains the area with those results.
Meadows is closer to the little infrastructure that this area has. It has 2 parallel targets at least 1km long and Newmont discovered another 1km to the NW where earlier RNSs describe a sulphide target found by MMI.
At Ernest Giles the initial phases for exploration will focus on Meadows as it’s not deep 3 fairly close together targets and have very significant geochemistry results. Here they are expecting possibly 2 x 5moz deposits and possible 1m oz camps.
Empress however looks a very interesting licence with many targets and very exceptional geochemical levels
