Winstanley, so you want to give people 'free' access to ITV content?.....very generous. But how would ITV generate any revenue.
Viewers either have to pay a subscription to watch ad-free or they have to watch advertising....ITV does generate money from selling advertising slots.
To give people free access to the content, without having to pay a subscription or watch adverts is a recipe for disaster for a company like ITV.

Unfortunately we are a bit of an echo chamber regarding ITVX....we want it to succeed, therefore obviously we think it will succeed. Really we have to wait to see how the great British unwashed public view the merits of ITVX. I hope they love it and sign up in their millions.....and we stop people from getting free content!! (apart from Noggin of course)

JC & his daughter are re-making Fawlty Towers....a car crash if ever I have heard one (although I don't think it's ITVX). Perhaps ITVX will get the urge to update some of their old shows.

I expect Disney are viewing the worldwide decline in subscribers and taking action (although US will be their biggest market). I'm not sure ITVX taking presumably UK subscribers would be a big factor for their subscriptions falling.

KannaB, for someone with confidence in LGEN you don't sound very confident !
If they can show increasing profits then SP will follow. There must be questions about certain parts of the business that need answers....if management have a decent plan for sustainable growth over the next few years then SP should benefit from the rise in interest rates.

Ex-Div circa middle April, payment late May/early June....based on previous years.
So 'probably' expect SP to rise towards the ex-div date and big drop on the day.

Noggin, it is rather worrying from an investors POV that you are getting free content without even the need to watch a few adverts....good luck to you m8. But not ideal because it means ITVX isn't working properly. If they are giving away free content on a large scale then could mean trouble. Not sure advertisers would be impressed...perhaps they have secretly added you as a subscriber. You might want to check your standing orders?!

Noggin, for a while I thought that ITVX was showing you ad-free content without paying the extra ad-free subscription....as long as you are getting what you are paying for I can breath a little easier.
Are you giving you login details to friends & family so they can watch ad-free too?!

Yes Andy we know you think LGEN is boring.....although bonds aren't exactly life & soul of the party.
I expect there are some investors who have a different opinion about the prospects of LGEN long term.

A week is a long time in politics. I'm assuming there is some news due within 2 weeks that will drive the SP towards the magic £1 and that it is forecast to be positive?!

Equally true there are times when a little conviction & possibly further buying would have got through the dip and become a really good investment. Not nice to be fooled by an algorithm into selling too early. Always lots of 'noise' that is best filtered out (not always easy).
If the investment case still stands then it could be seen as an opportunity to add....but if there is new information then that needs adding to the equation.
Agree that sitting on a loss isn't always the best option....depends on the company prospects.

BigE, I think you need to tell us what your guesstimate of the remainder of the ITV is worth after a Studio sale. You calculations suggest it remains at circa 84p per share. After selling part or all of a major asset then I'm not sure the market would be so generous.....unless there is additional information about the growth prospects of the remaining business.....or the STudio business was acting as a drag on the rest of the business.

BigE. scenario B has me flummoxed too!
