LordTopUp, how are we this morning. I'm really loooking forward to next week when FUM's SP reaches or exceeds 108p per share. It will certainly give my portfolio a much needed boost. Although yesterday was good....but nowhere near what Futura will see next week!! I'm almost wetting myself with anticipation.

BlueChip, it was you who predicted 108p next week. A brave call:

I hope you are correct...I cannot help thinking you were having a laugh.

If I invest £10,000 at 8.4p (current SP) that'll give me approx 118,900 shares in Futura Medical. Then when they hit 108p per share next week I'll sell at circa 105p....giving me £124,845. Not quite reaching my millionaire aim, but a good start.

Yeah....if we ALL wish & wish, then wish a little more...then I've no doubt the SP will be 108p in exactly one week.
Sometimes a touch of realism doesn't go amiss!
Although it's good to have a dream...

But I suppose when our dream doesn't come true we can always blame it on CoronaVirus.

Paranoia means you're never alone...quite a few on here see Hawkshead lurking behind every post. He/she must have been quite some guy/gal (oh, I forgot...that's me!!)

The ironic thing is that when LordTopUp said that Ken James was a resident of the USA he was roundly ridiculed by some on here for spreading fake news....but now if Ken actually is a US resident which would allow him to travel to USA & meet the FDA 'face to face' then that's wonderful. Irony of ironies!!

I have no axe to grind either way. Just searching for the truth....amongst a lot of speculation & half truths.

Fact from the UK government website: "US citizens and permanent resident of the USA, their close family members and certain other limited categories of visa holders (such as UN staff and diplomats) are exempt and will still be able to enter the United States, subject to normal entry requirements."

So Ken James - assuming he really is a permanent resident of USA - would be able to travel backwards & forwards to America. Mr Barder probably wouldn't be able to (unless he is also resident in USA).

Tombi, I'm just responding to some of your unfounded & sometimes rather silly assumptions.

theItalian, thank you for some useful information and your assessment of the likely impact of the current crisis on dealings with the FDA (& presumably other regulators).

IMO people who try to double guess what a regulator will do & in what timeframe are usually disappointed (I speak from first hand experience). Sometimes it's better to sit back, relax and let things take their course....however frustrating that can be.

I assume that Ken is currently in the UK - although I suppose he could have beaten the travel ban & made it to the USA in time. He could be involved in the seminar/webcast on 1st April using video conferencing if he is in the USA, although it wouldn't be ideal.

I suppose he could be in the USA meeting the FDA and will travel back to UK for the 1st April...although he may not be able to return to AMerica for some time.

All rather a popintless discussion IMO. We will get an RNS when it's due. Speculation about what a meeting with the FDA contains that may or may not take place is fruitless speculation IMO. People grasping for straws probably.

Tombi. a resident isn't necessarily a citizen. A US citizen can travel from the UK to the USA. But I'm not sure a UK citizen who is resident in the USA is also allowed to travel to America from the UK at the moment.

Not sure if Ken is a US citizen...we do know he is resident but we don't know whether that currently also allows him to travel there.

I'm not sure residency is the same as citizenship...or how border control staff view the two. But if it makes you happy then I don't want to spoil your dream. Ultimately it's what is delivered, not what people would like to happen. April fools day isn't too long to wait now is it?

Asperger, indeed lets hope he recovers quickly. But the impact on the Brexit trade deal will be profound...how can they negotiate when they cannot meet as a team, never mind negotiate face to face with the other side. You can do a certain amount using modern comms but sometimes I expect you have to look into someones eyes to see the cut of their gibb.

Any chance of a meaningful trade deal - which was always slim (according to 'experts) - it must now be close to zero. Pressure will come on Boris to extend the transition. We cannot fight an economic war on two fronts...it would be suicide.

That presumably means the end of Brexit trade deal negotiations this year....and unless Boris extends the transition it will be a NO deal 'Australian' start to Brexit at the end of the year. Perfect for when the UK will be tackiling the economic troubles of this current pandemic. Hold onto your hats!!

Waga, we aren't China....and probably cannot contain it as well as their draconian measures. There is also the possibility even liklihood of it returning to mainland China. Also other parts of the world. There is a chance of mutation of the virus also. This could go on for many, many months...until we either learn to live with the virus, a vaccine is produced (circa 12-18 months apparently) or we get the global recession that some are predicting. Lots of uncertainty, with lots of questions that don't as yet have an answer...just what the markets don't like.

Read up on the 1918 Spanish influenza outbreak...it is probably why scientists are so worried.

There is debt to repay and lots of further investment in the mine. So the cash cow isn't guaranteed to benefit shareholders directly in terms of dividends for some time, unfurtunately. However with increased gold production the SP should rise.

Presumably this 'face to face' meeting has already taken place....if it hasn't then it will be difficult to physically get over to America to meet them.

There seems to be a bit of speculation that may turn out to be unfounded, better to wait for the RNS or seminar and work from the facts, rather than getting worked up into a tizzy over probably nothing.

The big figure to watch out for in the results will be cash in the bank....and costs (obviously).

I thought the timeline for FDA approval was a lot longer than EMA approval. So I'm not sure what news you are expecting from the FDA...perhaps a quicker route to approval, but I expect it will still take longer than some people would like.

The seminar was probably called as a PR excercise to try to explain what a wonderful thing MED is and how FUM will corner the ED market. All marketing spin probably....FUM don't even have to impress us (although I suppose they may want a higher SP) but they do have to impress a pharma partner for MED. They will be harder to please because they won't be impressed by'fascinating' ideas on how MED works...they will want facts. And patented IP of course.
