George Frangeskides, Exec-Chair at Alba Mineral Resources, discusses grades at the Clogau Gold Mine. Watch the full video here.
Aubergine is back on the menu at Chez ITV. I 'almost' feel sorry for the guy who said aubergine was toxic.....obviously not a foodie like Dame Carolyn. Does ITV have an office in Siberia?!....if not then I expect they'll create one especially for him.
" What I would like to know is why the share price dipped to 52p in September 2022......"
===========================================
Wasn't that just Trussonomics?!
I think some people think TRMR are a football club or a boyband where the branding & merchandising is so important. As Tricky said it is more important that they are 'trustworthy, successful and reliable'.....mind you I have just ordered by 'Nixen' ambrigramic T-shirt.
"EVERYTHING is about branding."
=========================================
Codswallop....it's about delivery.
"Strip ratio"
=======================================
Current mine is underground.
The more research the better.
Company is >70% owned by the Assaubayev family.
Maybe they will make it into a TV drama.....Carolyn could appear in a cameo role.
I prefer a company to be innovate in more than name only.....hopefully this ambigramic palindromic name change isn't just a gimic designed to distract attention.
"'Nexus' would have been more cogent. "
====================================================
I expect it was already taken...'Nixen' will have to do!
Another name change.....just what people were asking for.
Nexxen....shouldn't that be Nixon?!
If Trump did what Richard Nixon did....then nothing would happen. These are different times. The Republican party is a mess.....to some extent this is reflected in UK politics by the state of the Tory party. And we have our version of Trump - strange hair & all - who may or may not be back [insert obscure Latin quote here to show how clever I am]
"A good education means an interest in world politics.
Otherwise 'Ostrich, Head, Sand'."
===============================================================
Tricky, I think you are correct. Although I don't know the finer points of American life & politics I think I know enough to have an opinion. If I'm told then I shouldn't have an opinion then I wonder if I am living in a dictatorship....is this a 'banned subject'?!
I think I am one of those people who is looking at the 'Emperor' and wondering why other people havn't noticed he isn't wearing any clothes. Perhaps in court we will discover even more...although I suspect most people have made their minds up one way or the other.
At the end of the day it's for the American people to decide who they have as their leader. But the choice of leader for the 'free world' does have an impact on countries around the world, so we should have an opinion.
I dont' want someone who will hand Ukraine to the Russians, whilst at the same time weakening NATO...No Thank you. But I would like a UK-USA trade deal please....pretty please, please with bells on!
Trump runs his organisations - including the Whitehouse - like a crime boss....I think most sensible people would agree. He has allegedly broken laws, it will be tested in court....I think he quite likes the attention. It also allows him to grift money from his supporters.
I think he hoped being an ex-president would give him immunity from all his potentially illegal activities.....well, it looks like he may have been wrong.
DoJ director (Garland) purposefully handed the Trump investigations over to an 'impartial' special prosecutor. So in theory the court action against Trump is not influenced by DoJ or the Whitehouse.
He thought he was above the law. He may have been wrong, although I expect a future Republican President to pardon him. I guess the American people have to decide if they want someone like Trump as their President....even if he is in handcuffs when he is inaugurated. Can he pardon himself?!
" What about the more sensible option of campaigning for CEO to go...."
============================================================
3Card, what do you want a new CEO to be doing differently?
"If not why are you still holding?"
=========================================================
ArthurTurner, I have held RthythyhthmOne all the way down, I held TRMR all the way up (where I luckily sold some) and I continue to hold. I think I am allowed to be slightly wary of 'jam tomorrow' - hence why my 'optimism' has been replaced by 'pragmatism'. Is the industry past the over-enthusiasm seen during the pandemic where we streamed our lives away watching netflix...Yes. Can TRMR do well again the the future...possibly....although the 'jam tomorrow' statements of times gone past have returned and I'm less 'optimistic'.
Hopefully they will still allow be to contine to be a shareholder, even though I'm not sure I'm a true believer.
Rhinocol, I'm guessing it's a generational thing. Young people like watching their own rubbish....I was the same with 'the young ones' (which in hindsight was rubbish!).
However initial viewing figures from 'Love Island' suggested it isn't hitting the mark with viewers...hopefully things will improve. But goes back to the old adage: "Too many eggs in one basket", especially when the eggs are stinkers!
"Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence. Helen Keller."
==========================================================
Sounds like motivational claptrap to me. Optimism on its own isn't going to achieve very much, you also have to be pragmatic.
Almost sounds religious, pray to god & it will be delivered unto thee....or blaming the people who pointed out the problems, "It only failed because some people didn't believe hard enough." Or perhaps it failed because it wasn't a very good idea....no amount of Optimism or hope or confidence can fix a daft idea. I've got a brilliant idea of a bridge and/or tunnel from Scotland to Northern Ireland....I'm really optimistic about this one! It might even be a bridge with a tunnel on top!
"We need someone who realises that you cannot just keep doing the same old programmes over and over again."
========================================================
GL, I 100% agree. ITV need more interesting & new programmes to attract audiences. However it must be very difficult to change a winning TV show & most people just want an easy life. I'm not sure the CEO is all to blame for the content, she will have managers who commission shows.
Relying on shows like 'Love Island' is a huge mistake imo.....apart from it being total garbage, it is also prone to changing fashions. They need to be more dynamic & sometimes take risks....perhaps having ITVX it will allow them to be so.
"I have a number of flats and a management company that looks after them. If I don't like the management company I get rid of it with the agreement of other owners."
============================================================
Contrarian, I see you added one little extra to your example, "with the agreement of other owners". That's the problem isn't it, the 'other owners' (some of whom may own more of a share of the flats) may be happy to let the management company remain in place. So what can you do?.... come onto forums and 'howl at the moon' I suppose!
Bill Clinton lived in Hope....Arkansas!
I don't live in Hope.
"....I think you might have pulled off an extremely good buying opportunity at these prices."
=========================================================
I thing he must be related to Harry Houdini. On the day of the results the intial reaction was a 20p drop & I thought it wasn't looking good. But 'somehow' the SP reversed and the SP is showing strength.
I wont start counting my chickens....this is TRMR after all.
