they can only sequence about 500 a day, but were increasing fourfold I think it was without going back and checking. Not sure exactly what is needed to sequence but obviously more involved and unit numbers are not big in comparison to normal processing.
What I did like to hear is Hayden say they already have a pipeline of opportunities building utilising the new lab set up for non covid work into the future. I assume that while covid still dominates then they will concentrate on that for the time being and make hay.

what makes me laugh is that these companies like AVCT,ODX, ABDX etc are going to struggle to sell these lft's as it seems China and others have it all sewn up anyway. All the talk about being the most accurate blah blah matters not a jot upto now, so why will it change, it won't? Chinese products just won't be beaten on price, so they will/are come out on top again imo.
The whole world already have their lft suppliers (with brown envelopes)in place, so good luck with trying to break into it!
China has the UK in it's back pocket with all the corruption, so overseas might be the only outlet. Having said that count out the USA, they have plenty of their own suppliers, though there might be a short term supply problem, but that won't last long.
As for the EU, they already have many suppliers, so again it won't be easy breaking into that territory either.
I know the govt want to offload lft to private supply, but good luck with that unless China is banned, because again they will easily win on price again.
I read that some of these 'private' suppliers/outlets are charging about £225 for 25 lft . Yeah right, good luck with that too! Knock about 75/80% off that price and you might get close..lol.

So for me, for all the whooping and hollering about approvals etc is the easy bit. Now go and try to see if anyone is interested in buying any when up against the others, especially the Chinese prices.

Ygen also have made some decent money from their pcr test. They are getting well into the inner depths of govt depts regards testing and sequencing as their last sequencing tender win suggests.

we would like to think that directors will put their hands in their pockets, especially after LR's comments. I doubt these today were director related, but if they were, then we'll soon find out. Not holding my breath though.

In the meantime Ygen have processed over 500k samples. Most of those in the last 2/3 months I take it. Shouldn't be too long before they double that if they keep going 24/7 .

Ash, they can only give news when it happens and is material. Nothing stopping them buying though!

yes Steve, immediate start too! Important for me is that they can utilise all the lab/testing infrastructure post covid, and are already building a sales pipeline.

just listened to the presentation again, and the Ranger stuff really looks like it will be a money spinner. I can see Labcorp using this extensively, which of course will do wonders here.
Just waiting for a final piece of materials for the BIG east coast client and that will come online quite quickly too. Multiple govt tenders of which I am sure they will get their share, and 30% non covid.

Ygen are already planning for that though. They can use their lab set up for many other things going forward post covid. As you say Frankie, covid isn't going anywhere for a while, and many more knowledgeable/expert) people than us say the same thing. Maybe some need more meat on the bones rgds core and the potential from the US.

LR, did genuinely seem at a loss to the total lethargy towards this stock. However. actions speak louder than words, so if that is what directors think and this is undervalued then surely buying some will have a positive outcome. Not only will they make money (and us) it will show confidence and support for the business.
I know they are probably not super wealthy people many of them, but c'mon they must have a little spare, and it's a great investment ,..right??
