You are reading the article wrongly.
The NYT states that the no. of patients for the trial is 400 according to the clinical register (they even have a link to it).
Think the confusion here is that the trial is now in 2 halves.
First half hospital and 2nd half "At home".... TOTALLING 400, so not a new trial as reported on here.

When are these out? or Why aren't these out already?

If AVCT have any sense, whilst they are the only 10 min antigen test, they will charge as much as possible per unit.
When a good competitor comes along or the market tightens, THEN reduce prices accordingly.
"Must make hay while the sun shines" as when demand is high and supply limited it's eutopia.
e.g cost to make say £5:
Initially sell for £15 and make £10 per unit,
Then later sell for £7 and make £2 per unit.
