I’ve been mulling yesterday’s rns. Caspian are usually very slack in reporting news full stop let alone relatively minor information like the domestic oil price. It was released on a Friday, is that the first ever positive rns on a Friday? When it came up my heart sank.
Is this a new strategy? Let’s hope so, starving us of information is not a good way to build investor confidence.
I’d be interested to know where they got the fraking idea from. Has it been used at these depths before?

Sorry cc I disagree, The rns was brief to the extent it was curt, it didn’t seem like they were trying to pump the sp at all, The Fraking may be a Hail Mary but I imagine they had to get permission and do environmental evaluation etc so they must have put some thought in to it. If they had wanted to pump a much easier way would be to say they’d had enquirers about renting boaty and or say something/anything reassuring about bng licence change being imminent. If indeed that rns was an attempt to pump then they’re as bad at it as they are drilling deeps!

Mores shares for themselves aren’t much good at the current sp. wasn’t boaty completed at 12p? Even though by the time it completed we were far lower than that? At current sp we paid about $4.5m for a boat built for $200m. A lot of Kuats eggs are now in this basket. He needs it to succeed.

How does the ceo stand to make money? Getting the deep oil flowing would make him a potential billionaire, rig deals are chicken feed compared to what he has lost on paper from Caspian sp collapse. We have just been through a global pandemic and they pretty much avoided dilution.
Yesterday’s brief statement highlighted Caspian don’t care about what the market thinks of it. Kuat doesn’t need us.

No one can dispute the Casp strategy of going after the deeps rather than monitising Mjf was a mistake, and operationally Casp has been a disaster.

The 1200 I referred to was production at Mjf they were producing circa 1500 bopd so I have set them a low bar!! As long as they are exporting a reasonable percentage then going concern is no longer an issue and hopefully they can rested Mjf drilling.
