Its not beyond the realms of possibility that Apollo are going to use the next 4 months to approach IIs direct. Theyve now done their DD. There's absolutely no point making a move for the co. before the GS expiry. If there is an appetite for a TO amongst the "65%", and I suspect there is, we'll know about it soon enough.
MM will as well, he has to make his move sooner rather than later. Not sure if he'll find anyone daft enough to back him though. Maybe the QIA????
Up a stake of just under 5%. Not declared. Then, on the day of the GS expiry, go over the 5% threshold, a make a hostile bid for co. Having bought some cheapies.
The “65%” would fold faster than superman on laundry day.
Apollo should use the next 4 months to build a 4.99% undisclosed stake in THG without moving the price. Then on 15 September (GS expiry), go over the threshold and make a hostile bid. Having bought a load of cheapies, they could afford a slightly more generous price. The “65%” would soon fold, like a deck of cards.
For all those that missed yesterday’s exchange, goodtimescoming genuinely thought that the BOD was seeking shareholder approval to raise £2m via a share offering.
He genuinely thought this. Scroll back. He’s hilarious.
You embarrassed yourself yesterday. You are clearly clueless. And I agree, instead of apologising and trying to educate yourself from more intelligent (most) and experiences investors, you chose to go on the attack and be rude. Consequently embarrassing yourself further.
They should buy, stealthily, build up a position of 4.99%. On 15 September, GS expiry, buy more, go over the declaration threshold, and launch a hostile bid. The 65% would fold like a wet newspaper.
I thought the polishcap request was peculiar right from the start. I don’t think I’ve ever been on a BB where someone has asked everyone to disclose their holdings. I thought it was a pointless exercise anyway.
RE: Buy Thg still takeover target18 May 2023 11:02
Apollo should take advantage of the next 4 months. Build up a 4.99% stake. Then on 16 September, buy more to take them over the threshold. And launch a hostile bid. The 65% would fold like a garden chair.
Apollo had its people camped out in Manchester for weeks. They made an offer, them made an improved offer. They are not the kind of outfit that gives up easily. Just because MM thwarted their approach, doesn't mean they wont be back in September.
