Dacostad that is my point entirely. We have good grades elsewhere, though not as open-pittable as La India. We have 95% of La India anyway, so presumably have the land for all the processing plant etc. More drilling at Cacao is likely to produce further reserves, again possibly near surface? So are we in the last stages of a) Take the tolling deal Calibre and/or b) take the land deal guys......as we will crack on with a plan not yet openly spoken about, as we have everything else in place.
Artisanal miners can further deplete their asset/earnings and Calibre can do a deal with us later, but at a much increased price.

As the miners delaying our complete buy-out of land at La India, why not just build the plant and process Mestiza & Americas ore, then add in Cacao? Sort of calling everyone's bluff?

Ah so the selling wasn't for the yacht in the South of France!

My feeling is that RB has a long way to go if he is selling completely, which I doubt. Buying in at a lower price for any new fund raise makes sense, also reducing the exposure here makes sense, as does taking advantage of better opportunities elsewhere makes sense, so a number of reasons makes sense.
What doesn't make sense is investing for all this time, then completely pulling out when we are on the cusp.
Regarding the other issue of time taken. Should we have completed the land purchases a year/18 months ago? Should we have raised funds at a lower sp and proven up another 1m Oz? Were either of these opportunities missed, or would we still be in the same position? I guess only MC can reflect on the way things have been done and when they've been done, as he has all the relevant info to hand.
I'm certainly staying put and will add if the price is right and other 'horses' come in. This is a good board, with good healthy discussion/disagreement. Let's hope we all achieve our goals, then put it somewhere safe!

Has anybody been able to establish an amount the miners are wanting for them to move on? Does this run into millions and would require a further cash raise and dilution? Surely to get this moving now, the better option is to make an offer of an alternative mining area as in net terms it would cost us less? The risk then on that piece of land is passed to them and in relation to where they currently mine, then this surely is subject to diminishing returns as the easy-accessible ore will probably in due course soon run out? At some point their land will be of little value without the ability of mining to deeper levels? On the other board I think I've read that a lot of the owners don't even mine the land.

Just as last weekend's Huff Post exclusive was released, I'm pondering whether we will have similar this weekend or weekend of 6/7th March. The Huff Post seem to have someone close to the action and may/may not still have this source?
The government's strategy for re-opening has mostly been focussed on the vaccine and rightly so as it has been so successful. However, I believe part B will be the announcement of the role of testing and in particular Lateral Flow Testing. The actual practicalities of testing school kids, teachers, travellers boarding planes, festival goers, football fans, etc seems strangely to have been missing so far. On the news this morning there were comments about the strain on schools/teacher's time.
So is the feeling we will have a more successful test used by the UK than the Liverpool one which seems to have been criticised all round? Or will we have a cheap 10/15 minute LFT, easy to use, accurate test which is linked to a smart phone and the Test & Trace system?
I believe when it comes there will be some fanfare, otherwise the questions and complaints about the government will continue. I'm sure Boris will want a further win and before the schools go back. Clearly the success with this strategy will not be limited to Avacta, but to several UK players in the market. If I get chance of another great top-up price this week or next, I'll be having some more.

Just to balance the view a little EL, I can understand frustrations with the performance of a company but it's how you deal with those frustrations. Every share I'm currently in ( other than GGP ) has a level of frustration, but I'm confident that each and every one of them will come good to different degrees. I'm a little frustrated with my current covid testers as news is well overdue and more importantly the funds will be coming directly in here, certainly if we are still under 50p. I have an oil company that struck with loads of oil 7 years ago and still can't get it out! You will always find in genuine investors this frustration as they feel their shares are worth much more. Impatience often leads to a sell out at the wrong time, which is what some non-genuine posters you will find on some boards, want you to do.
We will breach 60-70p by the Summer I'm in no doubt, but feel that uncertainty will follow if movement is not achieved here by late Spring. MC is I'm sure doing his utmost to get things moving and there will have been obstacles we don't know about. One thing for sure, I'm aware that he still has his 'magic hat' and we will see evidence of this soon enough. atb!

Wylie.....it's more important that the test is very accurate. In my opinion, when linked to an App you will need to do such a test say once a day maximum to store your result. There are already government plans to test teachers, students, health workers, etc.....say daily or twice weekly.
People who are active in the community ( say rather than retired stay at homes ) will do a test before breakfast in time for the day. Proof of negative will be via the App on their smart phone. Whether it's 5, 10 or 15 minutes it is only really the time taken to finish your corn flakes.

Considering the level of manufacturing capability here, I am surprised the sp is standing still. We have positive noises re the consortium this morning, but also the news that AVCT have made significant progress with their test, as per the following:
