RE: Inflations effect on the gold price..14 Mar 2021 15:55
Some great posts and opinions over the weekend. Much of my recent research has been around the economics of the mess all economies are in. Clearly we are shortly to be at a world crossroads in how governments deal with financial matters post-covid crisis. Specifically though, where is the best safe-haven for wealth and is there an investment which will outperform the rest in the next say five years? After all on any finance bulletin board, those are the key questions.
Done a bit of reading on The Cantillon Effect which I had never seen before and particularly the cascading down ( if any ) of the money printing being done presently. The stage of excess funds chasing rare or depleting commodities is clearly with us, but the ugly head of hyper-inflation is peeping at us from over the horizon.

Interesting from this link also are the options available in dealing with humungous debt piles. My money would certainly be on the 'inflation steal' of savings assets. Hence the link to this continued thread. Gold will clearly be on many investor's mind as an asset that will rise in value. Inflation is already with us and the way the figures are manipulated is well documented. So yes gold and silver are safe stores of wealth and an insurance. I'm holding physical metal with both and do see Condor as another strong pillar of my portfolio. Not to say that all equities will not drop in a correction.
Increasingly here I feel that we will achieve a sale of all our prospects at a good price. MC with JM's support will drag this towards a position where we can start digging for the stuff, but I think that at this point a 'biggie' will come in and take our 5m oz district.
The suits will have to slow down the money printing, the markets will be hit by bad debts in the Autumn, unemployment/bankruptcies, inflation will edge up, union and international trade disputes will not help the position.........will any banks be allowed to fail, as clearly with some it won't take much? All worrying stuff for a Sunday afternoon, but just what I am pondering.
I trust that MC will continue to find more gold, we will get the land and the finance, but will the timing be on our side? The very best of luck to all!
