Looks like this is just falling for the foreseeable. But did have a stellar rise has to be said. Probably a bit of pump and dump going on there.

I personally think this has quite a bit further to fall.The new regs will be killing the retail business on this, and that is its backbone. IG will have to find a new market niche, and thats not going to happen overnight. I can see this at £3.50 in time. Shame really, because they were creaming it off the plebs, wannabe "traders", but far more users were loosing their money "investing". Mind you I was one of them until I realised the con.

Maybe there are 20000 mickey mouse players using IG everyday. Each loosing £10. If the margins are cut these players might only loos £2.5 a day, or not play at all. That's £73 million a year. Note, I just picked these figures out of thin air, so i could be totally wrong - it might be twice that. It might be half. I dont know where most of IG's profits come from. Do you?

Tennis1. Thats the beauty of spikes. You dont know when they come back down. But its a deal, if I am wrong I will do the same. Will definitely be interesting tomorrow morning. The news might have a greater impact than I can see.

I think the real impact of this will take some time to filter through. IG ans the other spread betters will loose a significant proportion of their customer base. Those who are playing with fivers and tenners (getting stopped out instantly as has happened many a time to me) wont be able to afford their small bets anymore and play the lottery instead.

This has seen an big spike. Seen this before. In my experience this would fall slightly tomorrow as profit takers take their share. Those not in at the moment should be careful not to buy in at the high end. Not a doom mongering. Just saying, this has seen a huge rise today, and one should be mindful of that. If the news is that good, it might go higher after some retracing.
