I personally dont understand the decline of the SP, but will soon be happy to add more. Its a heft and sustainable divi being paid here, and people will always take care of their pets! This might end up being a right short squeeze here.

hmmm, I think stage 1 funds lasting until mid of next year is very optimistic, but I have no doubt st2 will be secured by end of this year. I just hope it will be as promised...DEBT ONLY!!! Chris - make sure!

Interesting that the conversion of such few bonds causes such a large fall in the shorts. Would that not mean that a large number of bonds are not shorted against?

This has not performed greatly recently. Might just be caught up in the retail slump. Might be more significant issue also suffered by Mothercare and ToysRus

I am still bullish on this. Kkr want to free up cash to move into something else, that's fine they are entitled to do so. Does not change anything about the great results we've had on Tuesday. This time maybe, just maybe, the shorts are barking up the wrong tree

Got to hold my hands up...it obviously had not found its bottom yet. But I am still confident in the business. I will buy more if this drops more. I do think this is an attractive entry price. Nice divi at this level. The shorts need to close at some point, and it could be a bit of a squeeze.

I agree. Definitely a buy at this level. Any minor fluctuations near term will easily be mopped up by the generous dividends.

I think this has now firmly found its bottom. People are always going to spend money on their pets, and PETS stores are conveniently placed in all of the UK's biggest retail parks. I personally own pets and go in their stores every now and them. They are expensive and I prefer to go to specialised pet shops instead, but I think most people are not like me and the convenience argument wins. Halfords uses the same model. The divi at this level is another strong support. This is a buy for me. all in my opinion.

Share buy backs are supposed to be a good thing, but it hasnt done the SP any good. Special divi would have been preferred as far as I am concerned. Better still all this cash could have been invested into making the business better, new technology etc. But once again British business fails to invest in the future. Supposedly for short term gains.

Yes, accounts for the drop. PETS have invested in their business, in their long term profitability. It is endemic of our businesses not to invest in their future, for fear of hurting the bottom line in the short term, and being punished for it. PETS have been putting profits back into the business to build a better future, and are now being punished for it by greedy shareholders who could just not accept a lower profit in the short term. Happens all over the UK unfortunately.

Didnt think results were that bad. Problem seems to be krr's apparent intention to offload all of their stock. Wish i had sold at 220p recently, but not really worried. Might give it a top up at these prices.
