We know its 8.6GT, just a matter of how much of that can be proven, but even 1% will propel the shareprice. The FACT that solidification takes circa 60 days makes it world class too.

Not the worlds largest CCS opportunity, check out the Deccan traps in India, but ours are actually accessible making it viable. Block reported that reservoir rock analyses exceeded expectations for mineralisation potential. This meansBlock have demonstrated injectivity, surface containment at the test scale and provides evidence consistent with mineral-trapping potential in the reservoir.

This is all a favourable because mineralisation can deliver permanent storage at relatively shallow depths. This will attract industrial off-takes, supports carbon market engagement with and increases attractiveness of local farm-outs or JV partners.

Block have seen transformation into carbonate minerals within a few months in the presence of dissolved CO2. The 8.6GT estimate depends more on the presence of zeolites in the rock, but they are there. The potential storage seems to have good permeability and porosity throughout, but this needs confirmation. The issue is we do not know how h0m0geneous the mineralogy is and will be determined as the system develops.

The geology could support rapid mineralisation, but scaling to 8.6Gt hinges on continuous, zeolite-rich, permeability under a robust seal with managed pressures. I’d price multi-gigaton success at 5–15%, subject to rapid upward revision if appraisal proves continuity, injectivity, and benign geomechanics.

If only 1 Gt proven & monetisable, that values gross asset at $20/t = $20 billion (using a lower estimate based on researched global CCS credits trading at $10–$40/tCO npv). Even after heavy overheads applied (90% for timing, costs, risk), NPV could still exceed $2 billion. If Block are lucky to achieve $40/tCO2 then that can double. If more than 1Gt is proven then even more. Its a simple case of doing the figures.

Compare to today’s £25m — a potential 50–100× uplift in equity value over time. In share price terms: 20p–£1+ range is within rational bounds if the market becomes convinced of commercial multi-gigaton CCS. Its only a matter of time, but not this year 😂

The next news in my opinion, will be the farm-out (Project III, Project IV), drilling sidetracks (Project I slim-hole) with related cash-flow implications and growth potential beyond just CCS. Anticipate a rise to 2p/3p.

For the CCS early results from monitoring: tracer tests, pressure data, possible chemical evidence of CO₂ mineralisation in the next 3 months, which will be the first hard data informing whether the reservoir is reacting as hoped; strong signals will move investor confidence and valuations.

So much news to come and potentially as soon as October/November. 😁

Morning all. Been mulling this E&P for a few hrs while travelling and remembered that ENI got involved with Frontera a few years back. Given their experience and acquired local knowledge led me to think they are a likely and very probable candidate.

BP though is a different realm. If BP chose to farm in, it would have a greater impact on investor sentiment. Whichever it is, we should know by year end, sooner if Georgian government expedites the application.

Either way, we could see shareprice increase to circa 8p, more if its BP. The fact the loan is not being renewed in February is another indicator of the company's confidence too.

Those that are researched are already holders and know what is anticipated. I still maintain PH is the problem, no credibility. 4 to 8 weeks for approval, depending how quickly the Georgian government processes matters. That should align well with CCS gas solidification update and strangely, the February loan details.

But we do know, based on scientific evidence, that Block has a good location for carbon storage. The subsurface has a large volcaniclastic formation full of zeolite minerals, which can transform into carbonate minerals within months in the presence of dissolved CO2.

The 8.6GT is in the sub-basin and the estimate depends on the presence of zeolites. Potential storage appears to have good permeability and porosity throughout, but needs confirmation over time as the system is developed. Hence why its not currently guaranteed at 8.6GT. Yet. If the company achieves only 5 -15% of the estimated 8.6GT storage, it could re-rate to a mid-cap. Short-term, look for 3–20p spikes as appraisal milestones hit; long-term, £1+ per share is feasible if commercial scale and off-take are secured, very probable given the relationship with Indorama through Rustavi Azot (just needs to get the MoU into a defined contract).

That said, there are a number of upcoming project developments which should shift the price upward:

I keep on saying this too. PH has little to no credibility and does not come across effectively or professionally at all. He is like a kid playing with a toy. If this comes good and people make money, it won't be because of, but in spite of PH.

Nice find Bobby. Comparing the 2 we have 57–246 Mt (reservoir), but the important and life changing part is up to 8.7 Gt (basin scale. Although we are at pilot stage and aiming for commercialisation probably 2026, Eni has ~3 Gt total gross storage capacity with ~19.5 Mt/year across key projects aimed for by 2030. For us, the significant geological potential lies at the basin scale, and we need to befocused on proving viability, with additional pilot injections.

Eni already has defined projects and timelines, with a global storage footprint and clear 2030 deployment targets. That said, we have far greater potential for storage capacity, ie, 8.7GT (basin scale) compared to Eni's 3Gt total gross storage capacity. Eni CCUS Holding has been valued at around €1 billion, which would value Block CCS at €2.9 (£2.5) billion on a like for like basis, which is unlikely.

What fantastic, but highly anticipated and expected news. Really pleased to read this today and only now catching up with things following a long trip.

Remember what Prof Oelkers has commented. This is a good location for carbon storage with a large volcanclastic formation full of zeolite minerals. I am hopeful that the transformation into carbonate minerals will take a few months which will prove the model even further and give a well needed price uplift. Once CO₂ mineralisation is confirmed in reservoir samples will deliver a commercialisation inflection point.

Given todays news, I am now looking forward to Christmas where I hope the share price will be rather higher than now, especially if CO₂ mineralisation is confirmed and there is good reason to anticipate that now, based on research. Thanks to Bobby for resubmitting my earlier post, those figures are incredible and today we have taken a step closer to that reality.
