You can only declare a loss against a capital gain ,I am pretty sure that you can only do this if you dont repurchase shares in the same company within 28 days

what point are you trying to make,is this not the case with most shares most of the time where the machine takes over

Buffet said dont buy a share you dont want to hold for 10yrs,forget about today and the results,like it has been said before MM playing there games,it always happens with certain shares
Look at the fundamentals which are good and come back in a few weeks time

If we find 2bn of oil then I agree that we could see somewhere between 15 -20p,if we then get a big player on board then it couldgo to 30p ish.At the end of the day it all depends on the price of oil which hopefully will rise to around the 50 dollar mark in 2021.
However strange things can happen just look at Greatland Gold with a market cap of 1bn so 10 times that of Bpc at it's current price

Anybody know why the short positions are unchanged ahead of expected good results

Shorters need to buy back when they reduce their position.It didnt happen last week when the price collapsed so as yet their positions are still the same about a total of 1.65%

You are correct,I live in Leicestershire and alot are not what you call big factories, they are more like small industrial units

Long term strategy was to buy several companies paying a decent dividend,but alot of them have now stopped paying them,so I am just waiting
I know nothing about Elliot Wave I only know the principle of it but I have been following some who are more experienced in it and they are saying it's levelling out and they cant decide if we are already at wave 5 for the downturn or we will make a new high on the S and P somewhere in the 347 region.
Whilst companies like Apple,Facebook,Tesla etc are going mad it will go higher but once the stimulus stops who knows what will happen
To me it's a bit pointless in the USA of having a Senate etc when the president can just sign an executive order to overide any discussions.It will all be different when Biden gets in.

Codelco etc are heading back to full production,this could be one reason for the fall
Unlike Tucson I think the share price is driven more by the FTSE mining index than the price of copper
On July 7th copper was 279 the same as now and Kaz was 513,but the mining index was 1000 pts lower.As per my usual theory Kaz falls or rises about 5p per 100 pts this would equate to 50p putting the share price at 563
Cant understand the Rns,Pevek is within the Chaunkaya bay area,seems an expensive project to build a new port
Also worried about the 110v power lines,never mind they have plenty of time to get it sorted full production is 10 yrs away

I understand that 30 factories have been searched so it's not just Boohoo and some have been fined and others given warnings to put things right
So you decide,personally I agree that once a story of this magnitude gets going they dont let it go easily,as more workers have been interviewed and are basically to frightened to go against there employee.I believe that the latest one refers to a relation of the Boohoo owner who has a factory in Leicester,and produces garments for them

Fully agree they moan about the deal but still hold the shares,if they are not happy then sell and move on
The reason they dont sell is because in the back of their minds they are waiting for something good to happen

Kaz was doing very nicely with profits dependant on the copper price,but then Aug 2018 they announced the Baimskaya project and the price fell
It is still a good company but for some of us the Bod take on to much debt currently at about 3bn ish then they decide to expand Atokay to become Atokay 2 so more debt to build that then the initial purchase price and feaseability study on on Baimskaya which meant money and then they announce the project will go up to 7bn and that's if there is no hiccups and it wont be completed till 2028
Even if they found a partner they are still going to have a lot of debt over a number of years which they could afford to pay off providing copper was say constantly above 260.
Dont put to much money into it that's all I will say
