Yes the date transaction took place was Friday the 6th Jan and just the 450,000 shares today. My guess is they won't pay more than 19.38 and today there weren't enough cheap shares to hoover up.

MaverickD I think Thales or Siemens are a more likely bidder. I reckon there is a good chance Siemens who work in partnership with Powertrunk and Sepura might not be too happy with Sepura being Chinese owned and for a mere 100 million might just take Powertrunk and Sepura for themselves.

They're not going to walk away for the sake of 2 - 5p per share. Henderson, Oddo, Cigogne, Liontrust, Schroders, Goldman Sachs etc will have a good idea of how much they can push Hytera for and will likely vote accordingly.

Well they are called Cigogne Mergers and Aquisitions so they should know what they are doing. They also bought Dee Valley after Severn Trent made a final not to be improved on bid for them. There is virtually no profit on that as it stands so my guess is they think they can squeeze Hytera to pay a bit more. They are also an analyst for Thales Group who are one of Sepuras competitors and financially could easily buy Sepura if they wanted to.

So the 1 million share buy yesterday was Cigogne asset management.

Cheers illbetabuck, Some of the late reported trades I have seen have the correct time and date of trade even though they pop up after hours. Could these be market maker to market maker buys/ sells ?

Do we think all thease after hours trades were buys or sells ? Not the UT trade obviously.

Jamesroo, You make a compelling argument re the 2.5 % with possible 80/1 odds, but I still think there is more to it that we don't know about. Oddo Meriten have also taken a CFD long position in Dee Valley at 1800p per share, the offer which has been stated will not be increased is 1825p per share. To me this doesn't add up. FeltF85, Yes it does say that your right, but the 30 grand they would make on that holding wouldn't even pay the analysts salary so it doesn't make sense as it stands.

I'm also going out to get Brants a new joke book for Christmas. I like to only buy people presents they really need. All in my humble opinion of course !

Agree with that blackflamingo, where were Oddo Asset Management at 10p ? They didn't want the risk even to make 100% return. My guess is that they have at least heard a ' whisper' from someone about something. The risk profile of this company does not suit a possible 2.5 % return in a few months with a potential 30 -40 % loss if the deal doesn't go according to plan.

Batfink, I've been here since May when the share price was 59.5 Still think we have a good company here despite the monumental f ups of the previous management. If they can just sort/ restructure the debt then continue as they have been with some decent contract wins ( the Crossrail contract still hasn't been anounced ? ) then I think Sepura will ultimately be ok I think Hytera ultimately just want the Name and the contract pipeline/ wins that they don't seem to be able to get I don't think they care about the debt or the financials, we are so small to them, but the contracts and name are not.

Jamesroo, Its an extra 4% (so far) so they still need another 42.86% more votes. Assuming Hendos will vote how they indicated they will. I think other IIs will be very tempted to take a holding here in order to twist Hyteras arm to pay more now they know they want it.

Thats an interesting holdings RNS and an interesting 5 million share buy 9 mins afterwards. Why would asset management companies be so interested when apparently its all over at 20p ? Answer because Hytera cannot steal this at 20p
