I think part of the markets job is to convince holders to part with their stock at a massive discounts,
and convince them to buy stock at massive premiums !
So called mark to market.

They did not buy PMO bonds 'recently' and they took the short out quite a while ago too. ( average short approx. 78p btw )
If you check my posting history around June 2019 and before you will see that I ( and others ) knew full well about the big short. So I know it is not happening here.

I was just stating that the total number of shorts have not increased over the whole month of January.
Probably is the shorters doing this or the last few Insti Funds repositioning as Old Fat Prop says.
I find it interesting that Enquest and Premier share prices are doing quite well.

Re shorts there are a few more below 0.5% but not really enough to mention. What I will say is they have hardly increased at all over the whole month of January 2020, which is interesting if you do the maths re increases on Short Tracker. The total number increased around 2% over December 2019.

I agree the current climate is far from good. However regarding Institutional Investors I notice Premier Oils Bondholders are not dumping en masse. In fact all of them accept ARCM seem very happy with Premiers expansion plans and happy with the increased coupon.
