As I keep saying, alternatives to BT’s fixed broadband fibre connections do not need to take everything, just only need to take a bit from BT to change the numbers.

More references to people switching home broadband to mobile connection.

Bottom line is fixed line broadband market is not increasing like it needs to for previous investments to pay off. This is definitely a concern & needs to be watched very carefully

All these companies could be billed based on IP address, like a billing DN on a trunk for instance, on various billing rates

The other option would be every conscription carries a component to contribute towards network costs

True these all rely on networks and connectivity. You describe the problem though, not the solution.

First stages of serious consolidation on the cards then. If anything can be learned from the early days of cable.

If anything of these companies are based in the US they may have access to something called “chapter 11”

I would need to do research, but effectively it allows a US based business to shed huge amounts of dept without necessarily loosing control or failing. Then allowed to restart operations with less dept to worry about.

My guess is any company consolidating these companies & therefore their dept might be registered in Delaware or something like that. Might be wrong, rules and laws might be tighter now ?.
