& Fleccy - BT have a proud history of not monetising their R&D - even in recent times BT missed the boat with the simplest of things, TV apps for one, they were so late delivering OTT apps for their tv service for majority of smart tv’s. I was so frustrated about this I sent them an email!!!! So many other examples of really good ideas and really good business options left unloved inside BT Group.

Fingers crossed though, new revenue streams is what I want to see. EV charging I love would be happy to see any of this being a success.

It’s hard to see how BT will be able to compete in this arena with the like if Google, other silicone valley companies and of course the Chinese. Do they have the fire power nowadays ? I’m not sure they do.

Blue - no I don’t think there is, unless if Drahi does something which could trigger DT to pick up his stake?. If the market is correct on share price, could be a reason DT wouldn’t want the risk? No Idea. Doesn’t seem to be any serious speculation

What you describe is why there is a crusade against the never ending, repeating positivity, which doesn’t reflect the market of BT SP.

I make is 350,000 premises a month lil Rod. I believe the target sets us 25,000,000 premises not the 34 million total premises in the UK. Not sure what the plan is for the remaining 9 million. ( If I wan an altnet, I would be talking to BT about those) a’la Kingston cable.

9 Million premises BT are not planning might be a better business case than the one they have.

Last time I saw the number of premises past, I thought BT would definitely need to speed up to deliver on time. Assume where they have been competing with cable / altnets the areas they have been building out might be some of the easiest / quickest ( assuming this is where other companies would choose to start ……..

We all talk about BT’s dept of circa $30 billion.

Drahi is BT’s largest share holder, it’s not negative to wonder whether he can sustain his position after cheap debt era has ended & the potential turmoil which could come about if he cannot, or even if he wants too?

I would guess his position in BT is noe more difficult that lil Rods assuming he was buying in the 1.60 - 1.80 area & 1.30 - 1.40 ?

& I really don’t need over excited posters to re-run plans to switch off tdm, close buildings & sack staff. I already know that, I’m talking about now
