I am not a trader Echoes, I am an aerospace engineer. And you know that I post regularly and have done so for a long time. I have been a holder for over 8 years and have followed the company very closely. I have gradually accumulated along the way and until last month had never sold a share except to bed and ISA. I have supported each of the fund raisings bar one. I reached a low seven figure holding (shares), now halved to a high six figure holding. I decided to sell half as I had set parameters (and no one commented when I said on this board last year that I would sell half in April) that were not met. I thought this board was a community of investors. I was clearly wrong. I regret that my discussion with an AFC employee has been derided but the simple fact is that the conversation that took place did nothing to alter my view so I sold. It is a shame this board has been taken over by people who have limited knowledge of the company but are very ready to abuse, to be cynical, and to be unpleasant. Thank you to Doc 7 for his support. Doc, I note you post less these days...a shame as your posts were always very balanced.

I'm not sure why you feel I am deluded. Let's leave it there as I am not prepared to take your insults. I want. Yes the recent updates were positive, but I had decided that I needed to see tangible progress via RNSs re commercialisation and technical progress. We have had none and there is too much guesswork for me in what is actually going on so I think the time line is longer than I want for a proportion of my holding. I will keep the rest invested until the year end and review.

I won't name the person as I did not seek permission to do so. I wil say that it was someone of director level. I was not given any information that is not already known and my decision to sell had already been made. The conversation was incidental, and I didn't pick up any vines that persuaded me to do otherwise. I think AFC wil come good but wanted to have less tied up for what is longer than I had intended. I still have a high six figure holding.

You are accusing me of lying. I have no need to do that and have simply recounted the event and my response. Take it or leave it, but try to be less condescending.

I'm afraid there is insufficient evidence of this going anywhere with a background of false promises, exaggeration and misleading statements for several years. I said last year I would offload half my holding if nothing happened by the end of April. Having spoken to someone at AFC at that time I have done just that.

No Barnacles, you may not. You have made a presumption based upon the facts I presented and extrapolated this into an opinion as to whether I believe in the company. You have reached the wrong conclusion and made an inappropriate suggestion as a result. As a long term holder of a large number of shares I am simply expressing my view that I expect statements made re the actions of the company to be reflected by those actions.

Yes Barnacles, AFC is promising a lot. Rather reminds me of most of 2014, Christmas 2015, December 2016, announcements throughout Q4 2017....... Let's hope they get it right this time.

Domino, it has been pointed out to you before that Adam never said that progress was doubling every two weeks; the correct context was pointed out. it is not true to say that the system should now have improved 1200%. Please stop misinterpreting data to your own spurious ends.

I think you have the wring end of the stick here Echoes. You have been concerned that the electricity production costs are being quoted without the cost of the hydrogen. You have hence said that we need a source of cheap hydrogen and cited that 65 Kg of hydrogen gives 8Kwh. As I have said this is not try. Yes we do need a cheap hydrogen source, but the 65kg you refer to is the weight of an industrial hydrogen cylinder, NOT the weight of the hydrogen in it. So this is only of any relevance at all when you are talking about fuel cells being run of bottled hydrogen in back up power situations and has no relevance at all to the cost of the hydrogen whatsoever. I did read your post carefully. Sadly you didn't understand the figure you were quoting.

No Echoes. Consider this: 30.6 litres of hydrogen weighing 2.5 kg gives a Tesla 85 kWh. I'm afraid your figures are wrong.

Please can you tell me where you got this figures Echoes. The calorific value of hydrogen is about 39 Kwh/Kg. I do not recognise your value. I have pointed out your similarly significant errors in the past and been ignored by you.

Maybe Echoes is Lisa Jordan. Which would be worrying given some of her comments. And she has stopped responding to emails. Adam Bond has been constrained by the limitations of the technology. His time will come when contracts can be negotiated (and probably already are pending technical milestones being reached). I think he has the right skills for selling and should be given the chance to do so, especially given the relationship he has built with de Nora. This is not the time for change, and if it were Lisa Jordan would not be the required change. None of the above reduces the seriousness of the errors of the last year including the miscommunication, the misleading information re the imminence of a commercial product, and the failure to tell us of the very significant issues with the stack.

Echoes doesn't bother reading documents or doing any research. It might get in the way of the vacuous and inaccurate statements she makes. Notes' comment, as a number have pointed out, was legitimate and highly relevant, but nullified by this incompetent poster to the detriment of the board and those reading it. Echoes, a better (and less sarcastic) response might have been, "Notes, could you point me to where he said that". You could then have done some research and possibly even added to the debate.

Give it a rest Echoes. You have never added anything of note or value to the board, some of your posts betray a marked lack of understanding of the company, and your rapid move from ramper to detractor has done your credibility no favours. If you can add some research or useful comment to the board please do so, but otherwise we do not need your comment or your vile language. AfC is developing a game changing product and the evidence is that it will work and PLACE will be met. The question will be how commercial it then is and what the uptake will be. News will come when it comes.

Hi BumbleB Are you still collating questions for the AGM? If so may I add one as sadly I can't make it this year. I know that the presentation Adam will give will note how well electrode development is going, and how exciting a time it is as the product teeters (still) on commercialisation. I'm going to presume that PLACE will indeed be met, the electrodes are warrantable, and that when all fitted together with the BOP we will have a modular system that can be scaled up and down to order. My concern is whether they will then actually be able to sell it. So my question would be, "presuming technical success and a market-ready product, how easy do you consider it will be to gain orders (perhaps with reference to the 1 GW) and what conversations have already taken place. How soon will we see the first meaningful commercial order? Many thanks Athansius

I don't. This will take weeks not days to sort. Interesting that Aramco owns 6% of the electricity company. The Minister for Energy is also Head of Aramco. So everyone knows the situation. The message that I am getting is that KSA will happily let minor internal squabbles completely destroy initiatives that foreign investors have backed and which are subject to MOUs. Not at all in keeping with the message re Saudi business the Crown prince has been promulgating. I suspect it may be worth making views and the situation known via the KSA embassy, and via Aramco and the Electricity company......both are easy to find on line.
