Afc cells are too big for cars, but are the perfect size for trains. And have less heat so a big bonus in that environment.

It seems ch2arge is not a new concept but something to resurrect to retain interest. Charging then BMW was a stunt. All it said is that we have a fuel cell that produces electricity. We knew that years ago.
The board is bereft of ideas, bereft of a product, and bereft of a market place.

I'm with Seance on this one bottom_feeder. If your questions are genuine then I suggest you do a bit of work yourself as there is a heap of information available in some very obvious places. I suspect you are simply an unsophisticated deramper however and implore you to take Seance's advice.

I wonder how exactly AFC feels it is managing its relationship with us at the moment. They are ignoring every shareholder who tries to contact them. They release next to no updates. And as for shareholder value.....well make your own minds up.

So how do we get our voices heard? Seems Bumble B has the answer:

Some of your posts are helpful and some of your views reasonable, but your posts are becoming increasingly arrogant and intolerant . Your last example is a case in point: "For you in big letters; so get lost."
Such aggressive language and condescension has no place on these boards so please would you either moderate your responses or cease posting.

It occurred to me today that we may be more advanced in terms of proving the electrodes than reported. I wonder in fact if we have a market-ready product but AFC don't want to admit to this as they can't find anyone to buy it. Even after all these years I'm still not sure what our target market or niche is. This week it seems to be car charging (or was that last week) but that's a crowded market place already.

It was chlor alkali. It was going to be UCG. Supermarkets. Then big stationary power plants. Power generation from waste. Dunsfold. Water production. Thailand due to the subsidies. Dubai. And so it goes on. Ab tells us he will be introducing us to more applications. Hot air. Or is that the one thing our fuel cells are not so good at generating?

What problem are we trying to solve?

And when might we get any traction at all??

SP has lost most of its gains. Frustrating to say the least.

Seems AFC has reverted to the usual pattern. Three steps forward and 2.9 steps back.

The more I think about it the more I think last weeks announcement was without any substance. So they can charge a car....of course they can - it simply confirms that they can produce electricity. But:

No PLACE
No manufacturing agreement
No progress on Southern Oil
No other partnerships mentioned.

Lots of vague promises from Adam about commercialisation, new applications (could that be anything that requires electricity Adam?), jam, blah blah blah.

Nothing about funding, finances,

I made the mistake of getting excited at the end of last week. Then the SP went into the 8s. I should have realised how mistaken that was.

I think we will struggle to raise funds. We will then probably get taken out for our IP at some lowly price.

This was a vague interview conducted by the world's least incisive and probing reporter. AB clearly chose the questions. Not much to take comfort from in the near term.

Shame to see the sp back on it's normal trajectory this morning. Same old same old.

I agree that the potential is enormous, but clearly a long way off.

The present advantage is the support this will give re publicity and politically. As all will know, a long time criticism of electric cars is that whilst the electricity is emissions at the point of use it is not so at the point of generation. This counters that. The government should be getting very interested in this, and the potential should attract investment to AFC.

I do wonder about the economics of generating the electricity at the site of charging. Could it not be generated centrally emission-free and simply put into the grid with the same result (I accept conduction losses), but mini power stations outside every supermarket feels expensive. The AFC battery concept presumably is important here?

Will be very interested to see how this pans out...and what the effect on the SP is.

For now AFC need to make political capital and rev up the publicity higher than those on that i8! Recognising the long term potential I have given my first strong buy recommendation in ages.

OK, I get the potential, but where is the hydrogen coming from? Presumably we need a newtwork of H2 filling stations to give that structure....it won't be coming through the grid?

Or do they see large H2 tanks sitting outside supermarkets? Doubt that would be economical.

What about PLACE, manufacturing, and the main target market.. This is a side show.

Southernhay, Silures makes a very valid point and one I was thinking about myself only this evening.

AFC has not met any of the expectations it set for the end of 2018 in the very recent update. The sp is a basket case . AB has failed to achieve the promised shareholder value and now has a market cap below £15m.

But we are told all is on track and there is great potential for commercialisation this year. But yet AFC is failing to make any comment on the SP, failing to release any updates, failing to engage with investors (my last 4 attempts have been ignored) and the directors steadfastly refuse to buy into this great prospect.

The bullet boards are here for people to have their say and they dont deserve your insults for doing so. I wish the situation was the same old nonsense, but it isn't. Things are coming to a head for AFC one way or the other.

If only the board would act like a board.

Looks like we are firmly into 3p territory....don't think much of AFC's Christmas spirit.

If you go to their home page the "brand link" which used to say "Look waht we did for AFC energy" has been replaced with a different company.

I wonder how long AFC will survive as an independent entity. Right now 10p per share would be attractive.
