Really thought we might get something from AFC today given the near 20% fall in price yesterday. Hugely unacceptable.
Roll on the AGM. Which they will announce as late as possible to make it as difficult as possible for PIs.

It does make you wonder what puppets like Lisa Jordan are there for. I do not see any of the NEDS meeting the defined responsibilities of a NED. And what the hell is Rennocks doing? I really do not know if these people are lazy, incompetent or colluding.

Klunk, I'm not so sure I had a dream, but the personal goal would have been to see AFC reach £1. That did not seem unreasonable given that it hit the 50-60p range several times on the back of little more than optimism. Sadly AFC has exhausted that optimism and I don't see it getting anywhere near that without hard facts. As for the MCap, well there were much fewer shares in issue in those days....about 170m when I first invested, so you now need over double the MCap to achieve the same share price.

iwant, I seinserely hope you are right, and they may well be, but again I have heard each and every year that AFC is just waiting for the AGM/ publication of accounts/ Christmas/ End of year to publish something game changing, but it never happens. Let's hope the plates are still spinning and that there is not a small pile of broken crockery on the AFC boardroom floor. However the recent BMW charging debacle was, for me, a damp squib, and smacked as them desperately trying to find an application for the technology.

60p would mean a MCap of £240m. It will not get to that without significant, sustained, tangible progress. In addition to PLACE it would mean large scale orders in a number of geographical locations. Feels like pie in the sky at the moment.

Thanks for the advice BumbleB even if slightly condescending. However I am wondering if it is my version of the truth or your version of the truth that is valid. The reality is that neither of us is wrong. My OPINION is that Alkammonia is dead in the water. I would appreciate it if you would not label my opinions as untruths simply because they do not chime with your own interpretations.

The FACTS are that this company is lamentable with its communication, has failed to produce a commercially viable product after 13 years and has misled time and time again about what it is achieving. My OPINION is that this track record suggests low expectations going forwards are appropriate. Nowhere have I ever posted an untrue fact. Final and interim reports have consistently and repeatedly painted a picture of a company in a position that has proven false. Pick any report. Try 2011 for a start. And yet here we are in 2019.

Gosh, was the Sierra really that long ago. I feel old.I'm afraid I was relying on my experience of AFC's history to inform my comments which I think are as valid as your assertions that they now have a model that has (note your use of past tense) worked and could (not will) be the basis of an off grid product. Most betting men use past performance as a guide. Admittedly most still lose money.I really hope you are right BumbleB as AFC has significantly altered my pension prospects. My fault for thinking they might actually be telling the truth. I am no longer able to give then the benefit of the doubt; only firm actions and results will impress this investor.Roll on the AGM. If I can get there I will be very vocal.

Alkammonia was first mooted at about the time Ford started producing the Sierra. If it was going to fly it would have done so by now. As an AFC concept probably best that PIs consign it to history and hope AFC has a trick up its sleeve that actually works.

Yes indeed Desertwolf...no urgency from this board. They gave notification on 23rd March last year, but this year has all felt a bit moribund. I can only presume that they have been too busy putting all the deals together that they will soon be telling us about. I'm sure Bond's chief concern is to generate that shareholder value he keeps talking about. Although one does worry that he does not know where his responsibilities lie.

Interesting to see the Cere results today....a fuel cell company that was itself moribund just a few years ago. Worth reading the RNS. They have achieved 60% efficiency with their cells. They also have £78m in cash...enough to see them through to break even. If I were a Ceres shareholder I would be quite pleased. I am not. I am an AFC holder and I am not pleased.

Does anyone out there still have an expectation that this company will actually do anything anytime soon?

What an uninspiring place this board has become. It used to worth reading the posts on here. Sadly no more. A shame as II has also managed to strangle itself.

Daz, the point Mitch is making is that by 2025 all new homes have to be built such that they do not use fossil burning fuels. That includes gas. It is nothing to do with power stations.If AFC could get into this market it would be enormous, but it is more natural territory for others like Ceres.

What was the point of this RNS? I might as well tell you that I'm buying a new car next year and at this point I'm thinking of a Mercedes. That means I have not yet bought a car and I may well by a Mercedes, but then again I might not.

My point is that this is again an RNS that actually has little substance to it when analysed. And it is a lot less than was implied in the Nov 2018 commercial update.

Sorry BitterBlue, but it was a non-RNS that was issued today. It confirmed that they have not yet appointed a flow plate manufacturer....or done any of the other things suggested last year. Or the year before. Or three years before that.

The reaction of the sp and the turnover tell you all you need to know about how the market judges the hot air coming out of this company. Bet Bond is dreading the AGM.

barnacles, you need to understand that contrary to your post no contract has been signed. The company has merely been selected as the preferred bidder....without that they would not commit to future expensive development. This is typical Bond fluff and tells us nothing about PLACE. My reading is that they are way behind and the Southern Oil contract will not be delivered on time. I actually think the RNS is a bit cynical.

Honest view? We are two years away from what we would call commercialisation. Progress is glacial. Still think we will get there. Maybe.
