That would value GenCell at ten times AFC. Shows you how little AFC has to do to realise that sort of valuation....just find the right initial niche and get the product out there.

whatever they do, it won't be designed to help the shareholders. In the past they have held AGMs at Stamford Bridge on match days so that the heavies have come and cleared the room before too many questions could be asked. I suggest shareholders resist such tactics this year and leave only when all questions have been answered.

However for your information I have board level experience in an enterprise with an annual turnover of twenty times AFC's market cap. Either accept that or say frankly that you think I am a liar. Yes, if it all comes good it will indeed be down to Adam largely. But retrospective analysis will still suggest that his communication was awful, timelines meaningless and targets recurrently missed. I'd love it if he puts one in the back of the net in injury time. However this company is not being well managed and that does not bode well.

I'm afraid that as CEO Adam does carry the can. I exist in this sort of environment and have a detailed knowledge of board level working. There are good CEOs and there are very bad ones. That is a simple fact. And many are tolerated by investors for all sorts of reasons for far too long.

It is very simple. AB is not performing as a skilled CEO should. And the company appears to have gone into lock down. I don't see anyone on here saying how fabulous the communication has been, and how targets are always identified and hit. Or congratulating AFC on orders. Or noting that there is a single AFC fuel cell working anywhere in the world as it should be.

I'm sorry, but this is completely Adam's fault. He is the captain of the ship, it is as simple as that. He sets strategy, hires and fires and is responsible for manufacturing progress, commercialisation and comms. No one asked him to suggest the timelines and goals that he expected (as opposed to promised.....but it's the same thing) to meet by the end of 2018.
He should be very familiar indeed with what he should and should not say....he's made enough of a Horlicks of it in the past to have learned.
It is not a case of damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. It is a case of mature, sensible and progressive communication, a responsibility he seems not to understand.
My fear is that things are going down the pan and we have no idea. We all think the blcokbuster RNS is around the corner but in truth I am just pleased everyday that I don't see an RNS saying we having fund raised at 2p, or we are selling out to De Nora at 5p. We have all invested large sums based on what in retrospect seems over ambitious prose.
Adam Bond is supposed to be a super salesman and star CEO. I have seen absolutely nothing yet to suggest he is either. I am aware of many CEOs and managers who move from job to job through their careers achieving nothing of substance, but still managing to produce CVs that sound as if they have changed the world.
It's time to stop this nonsense. Bond needs to report the situation as it really is. If less than rosy he should leave.
I expect AFC will announce the AGM date as late as possible to make it difficult for as many as possible to attend.

Seven years for Bloom. Lighting fast compared to AFC! They formed in 2006 and here we are 13 years later still waiting. And the product had been partly developed for other uses.....well over a quarter of a century earlier!

I'm afraid that, however much you appear to wish to defend AFC's development record, it is lamentable. Look at what it has achieved in those 13 years and it is pitiable.

I agree BumbleB that evidence is the problem here. AFC have given us evidence on nothing...they are silent. I do as you know have an engineering background although no longer active. I would love to have some data and outcomes to consider. But I can't consider a vacuum, and nor can the market which is why the SP is so low.I don't think any of us consider AFC's and AB's performance to be adequate. Perhaps all we are disagreeing on is the vehemence with which we express it. I know that, had I made the assertions he has over the past few years, I would be professionally ashamed. I appreciate very much your measured contributions to the board but hope you will appreciate my right to assert my justifiable frustrations.

Do you think there is a comparison to be made BumbleB that would make AFC's failure to achieve anything notable in a decade look reasonable? I invested in AFC many years ago because they insisted, and contiuned to insist, that they are different, and on the brink of releasing a disruptive technology. The experience of the last 10 years would suggest otherwise.
I'm afraid Bond appears at best a snake oil salesman, and at worst lacking in probity, decency and ideas. Good businesses make steady progress. Bond may yet pull a rabbit out of the hat, but that's not the way to do it. I suspect that in fact he is bereft of ideas and running out of excuses.

And if you look at virtually any other company in terms of getting a product out there (something of a pre requisite) no one is doing as tangibly little as AFC. The market rarely lies. We used to be disgusted that 10p had been reached on the way down. My how I long for those days.

Says it all really. Nearly a decade on and we still do not have a commercial product. Shows how incredibly naive AFC has been as a company. And why no one now believes a word they say.
