Thousands of pounds did not arrive in my bank account as a result of the cancelled divi - As a long term holder, alongside fellow shareholders, I have received distribution related to subsequent annual earnings, but still no sign of the cancelled 2.24p 2019 divi I believe I'm owed

Not been 'RETURNED' to all shareholders as it wasn't 'TAKEN' from all shareholders - only been RETURNED to a collective group known as shareholders - it was only 'TAKEN' from specific shareholders at that point in time - money has subsequently been paid out to shareholders, many of which (post ~April 2020) never had it taken from them in the first place - seems a tad unfair to me

I recall decimalisation - everything got 'rounded up' - and while you're re-pricing why not add a little more??? When sales start to drop ya know your pushing the limit - don't you just love capitalism, lol

Lloyds Banking Group has scrapped its final 2019 dividend and agreed not to make shareholder payouts or buy back shares in 2020 at the request of the Bank of England to preserve capital in the Covid-19 crisis.

The FTSE 100 bank said the resolution proposing the final dividend would be withdrawn from its annual general meeting due on 21 May.

The FTSE 100 bank didn't say other paperwork (ie 2019 results) would be amended and the original documents & records would be erased from the internet !!! (does anyone have hard copies?)

Given Lloys was able to withhold the 2019 divi in a blink of an eye is it impossible for Lloy to issue a 0.5p special divi in time for AGM approval - IMO the answer is no (but highly unlikely)

LTI bundles the buyback fund with the divi pot as total returns to shareholders - which of fair enough - and should pay off some time in the future - but some of us shareholders would like a little more in our pockets right now - at least a fair share, instead of the current bias towards buybacks - Lloy could easily of added a 0.5p special this year, but decided that shareholder can wait for the 'progressive divi' to make it up

LTI also chooses to conflate subsequent annual divi returns and the buyback funds with the repayment of the withheld 2019 divi - whereas I see them as totally different and separate items
