The board has the power to decide what resolutions are available, OR NOT AVAILABLE, for shareholders to vote on

The only divi's n buybacks I've seen in the past 3 year has only been from those years earnings - when did they bring the RETAINED CAPITAL back onto the books?

Seems clear to me

Wasn't up to the shareholders in 2020 - the resolution was removed by the board, under instruction from the PRA

Let's try a different simple analogy,
Early 2020 you do a week's work but the employer can't/wont pay you for fear of impact of covid,
Over 3x following years you do the same 1x week work, and you get paid each time
Do you think you are still owed something for the first week's work?

Correct, to me and equally every other shareholder on the register on ex divi day each of those yrs - as fair return for investing that year,
But they still have not returned the 2019 final divi what was withheld under instruction from the PRA

As you seem to have difficulty understanding this simple fact, let me give you an analogy -
A good friend comes to you and asks to borrow £1k to get them thru covid, later they win the lottery and gift £1k to all of their friends (inc you) - do you consider they have repaid the money you lent them?

Yesterday I wrote to the BofE requesting they define what they mean by "Dividend delayed rather than destroyed forever"
Also asked if banks might need further guidance to comply with the spirit of their instruction

I recall some wrote letters at the time - of course the details and concerns in that reply were very relevant at that time - and I'm sure all the 2019 investors are very happy that their cancelled final divi helped Lloy to provide assistance to Lloy customers

Doesn't change the facts -
We're now 3x year on, Covid is finished, Lloy is safe
IMO those 2019 investors are owed a HUGE 'thank you' plus repayment of that "declared" (Lloy word) and "delayed" (PRA's word) divi

Kinda like one of my relatives or close friends asked to borrow a few thousand quid to help them through covid - and now they've gone out and bought a new car - obviously zero intension of repaying the loan!!!

I wonder if the divided will be cancelled again this year - whipped away before divi pay day on the promise "Dividend delayed rather than destroyed forever" - as it was in 2020

IMO it's about doing what is right,
In Feb 20202 a final divi of 2.24p was 'officially declared' alongside end of year results, as Covid hit shareholders funds was understandably retained in case it was needed - turns out it was not needed - the right thing to do now is. . . Release it to those who were due it !!!

C'MON CLAIM LAWYERS - LET'S SEE SOME ACTION !!! -
circa £1.6bn + interest + compensation + a huge thank you for safeguarding the company + legal fee's

Legal advice -
Where would we find a legal firm capable of taking on a class action case like this?
Or
Maybe a solo case setting a precedent for all other 2019 investors who have been denied their 'Declared Divi'?
