Your scenario does not take into account the original cost of the shares. When the shares were delisted, they had no saleable value, the original cost still has to be taken into account.

Also, if the markets are choppy as they have lately, and CIZ initially falls, that is no reflection on CIZ, we will need to keep a level head as from 8.00AM tomorrow.

In the UK, CGT rates are lower than IT rates, particularly if you are a higher rate IT payer. As regards the potential sale structure re tax payable, each tax payer would have there own tax calculation to make, this assumes all share are held OUTSIDE a tax wrapper.
