The SP should be heading down today. The new CEO doesn't start for several weeks and they have just admitted that the big fanfare nationwide roll-out was a huge failure. They had 2 TM's before they started the nationwide roll-out and they have 2 now - and none in LONDON!!!

I repeat from my earlier post:

The discount card companies have maybe 6000 restaurants but maybe 1,000,000 plus members - try signing up all those customers without a telesales operation.

There will be a few mug buyers and a few profit takers today before the rot sets back in again.

I agree. The sensible punters will be taking their profits today while the LTH's will still be 50% adrift and getting desperate for some "more changes" or some "more better news".

I'm not the one who is desperate here. Big Dish management are the desperate ones.

All that fuss about the nationwide roll-out and that seems to have been all but dumped already. How long before they let the last 2 TM's go. They had 2 TM's back in May signing restaurants up to 150 total and now 5/6 months later they have got 177. No real progress at all and they could equally have just kept the original 2.

I cannot really see telesales working here as the restaurants are carrying all the costs with this yield management system and a face-on approach would be better. With the discount card system the customers paid a lot of the discount through their cards but now the restaurants have to give all the discounts and pay Big Dish as well.

Quick spike before the demise sets back in.

Agree a lot to digest but I can still see plenty of negatives - new CEO is a telesales manager, 7 out of the 9 regional managers have been let go (from a £30K salary). Were they no good or was the management no good or is the product no good???
All 3 TM's in London have been let go!!! and the remaining 2 TM's in Brighton and Birmingham will "be monitored".

I remember I posted about a year ago that Big Dish could get the restaurants signed up with a telesales operation - but I was rather taking the **** than being serious. Telesales would be much more suitable to a business like Tastecard where they are phoning the general public to get them to but a discount card rather that here where they are phoning the restaurants. Is this just another pea-brained attempt to get this business up and running?

I did always think that Sanj was way over-promoted as CEO when all his previous experience was at B 2 B restaurant acquisitions.

At the moment it is just one failure after another. Big Dish Asia failed; using TM's has now failed; Boer has failed; Sanj has been a failure for a year; the Brand Ambassador scheme failed; I could go on..................................

There is no point in running this company from the Philippines either. Now Big Dish Asia has closed they need to move all operations to the UK.

I can't imagine what the restaurants think when they get told this business is all being co-ordinated out of Manilla - it's a huge put-off and no wonder so many of them decide to leave after a few months. The staff there are not in touch with life in the UK and any savings is just a false economy.

People are posting nonsense on here. The last post on the Big Dish twitter page was 17th October. They have clearly given up on official RNS's and now on unofficial twitter communications too.

Bishop is clearly in the UK for matters concerning his chocolate business as he had a presentation at the Shrewsbury Chocolate Festival - nothing to do with Big Dish.

Next thing we know he'll probably be trying to float that for a £12/£13Million m/cap when the true value is £1/£2Million.

Looking at the way the directors have closed Big Dish Asia I'm quite surprised that they (and by they I mean Bishop, Boer and Perree) haven't sold their holdings. They can see the way this business is going with the chronic lack of revenue and if they have already pulled the plug on the Asian side what is to keep them around.

I suspected that they had closed down Big Dish Asia - and posted as such a while ago. It was a failed business venture.

With the chronic lack of revenue from this business model - which we can see from the results is about ten times less than the discount card system - it doesn't look good for Big Dish UK. Even as a "tech" company they still need to generate revenue.

It is also a bad sign that Aidan and co have completely lost interest and don't seem to give a damn anymore. Just easy come easy go for them. They only copied EATIGO's idea in the first place and the IPO was so overpriced that if they end up with nothing they won't even notice the difference. Plus Sanj is all set up as the fall guy. If it all goes wrong he was running Big Dish UK so he is to blame.

A few restaurants trickling onto the platform is not going to turn this around. And don't forget the interims with trading figures from April 1st to September 30th are due out sometime. Expect very poor revenue figures and record write-down costs for the closure of Big Dish Asia.

This shows a net gain of 32 restaurants for the month, following on from a net gain of approximately 26 restaurants in September. Of the 32 this month 16 were a bulk addition in London.

Just out of interest the restaurant sign-ups for March 2019 was 32, for April - 16 and for May - 27 - so the sign-up rate is not going any quicker now than it was between March and the end of May when there were just the 2 TM's on board.

All in all this is a pretty poor effort and at this rate it will take a long time to get any decent restaurant numbers here.

Very sloppy standards on Big Dish - and it just isn't good enough for the fussy restaurant market in this country.

No comparison. Sausages, burnt corn on the cob and a few vegetable on one of them.
