The dividend is paid per share that you hold, I have been here since July last year and have been topping up all the time so a nice holding but not as many as others on here but if you read the ACF reports it gives a good idea of what the dividends and price will be going forward, 43p and the mortgage goes and retirement starts but just in my opinion this will be well over £1 so still retirement but the bigger the Divi the bigger the car to drive into the sunset

I know we do not have any specific dates yet but I am hoping that it will all be done and dusted by Xmas so I can retire this year and then start 2022 planning the rest of my life doing what I want, not what I have to.
I am already getting my works pension and could just about live on that when my mortgage goes so EUA2 will be a nice top up till my state pension kicks in 3 1/2 years time.
Hoping that we should hear news soon as there is lots of news to be RNS'd

I have been wondering about the time lines and wonder if anyone has any reasonable ideas.
When the deal RNS is announced and it has a divi price I believe that will have to go to an EGM to vote as they are selling more than 75% ??
how long from RNS till EGM vote ???
When this gets passed how long till its all processed,??
how long till till HL get the funds
How long will HL take to transfer it to my bank
Am I correct in thinking that its going to be about 3 months after the RNS till I am wealthy enough to retire
I am hoping that its done soon as when the RNS is out I can start planning to retire and may not have to wait till I get the funds to leave as long as I know its only going to be a short while and just work my notice.

I did not think that you had a sadistic streak but I fully agree it would be great to smell the burning from here, we know that DS hates the market so it must be somewhere in the back of his mind after they have wiped millions of his paper money, we get a warm feeling when our little holdings go blue so imagine what his pf looks like when we are at late 30s

Hi to all other holders not been on here much lately as there is just too much back stabbing and that is amongst the true holders even without the bots
3 weeks ago if the sp was at 26/27 we would have been happy and just waiting for the deal so it went up and back to here and now but it still doesn’t matter all the stuff is in the ground and now 70% better so it is looking ever more a life changing event for more true holders

This week could be a great week for all true investors we have been waiting longer than we all thought but it just means a better return,
I will not be selling a bean as EUA2 will be my retirement fund so if it’s this week or next month no problems for me

I did not put my guess down yet as like most LTH here, by the way when do I become a LTH and not just a MTH, been here since July last year so not a Long LTH 15 months but does that make me a MLTH :) :)
Anyway back to my guess ! like most investors here I am hoping that the major RNS will have landed by then but if I have to wait till my birthday till I tell them Foff I dont mind

We always stay in Caleta been there about 30 times now. If we go to Lanzarote we go to Playa Blanca try to get to the canaries about 3-4 times a year or did was looking at a villa over there a few years back but she would miss the grandkids too much
Will go to the Greek islands again as not seen all of them yet and being retired when this happens we can please ourselves

We go to Fuerteventura for Xmas it’s just nice to wear shorts on Xmas morning and a stroll on the beach, been to Lanzarote loads but prefer Fuerteventura will be spending much more time away when this comes in and retire

If the price goes to over 40s today my portfolio will look great and to see the numbers will prove that retirement could be real.
The price would be nice today but an after hours rns will make the weekend much nicer

I had the same problem so I borrowed 5k chunks from the wife then bought that amount in my ISA and sold the same in my F&S account then repeated it
Ok lost a few quid on the spread plus charges but at least it don’t lose out on the main prize
