As someone who has a big portfolio of shares and done very well over 30 years would you not see that as a risky strategy as we all aim to buy low and then sell at higher prices but it does not always work that way I�m afraid great if you find the right stocks to invest in over a longer period and it pays but not so good if it becomes a loser just sounds like what the stock market is a Gamble

There was an article in the FT about the unions staff pensions only a month ago confirming that they had to change from there existing schemes as thet are unaffordable as they have a big deficit,what does that tell you

I totally agree with you your points they are 100% correct the trouble is as you are aware people have to change and look at the bigger picture after all this is a plc now so it the workers the business and the shareholders who all need looking after .Im afraid there are far too many people here who are only bothered about themselves and not all parts of the business,as you say something will have to give as the unions arguments about all these issues are not sustainable and No management is going to put most of its profits into a fund that is not sustainable.Unions and management will have to reach a settlement of some kind or as you have said it will be a no win for anyone ,let�s see how civil some people can be now wait for t(e name calling to start
