Everyone for there own mate I was simply pointing out what can be made wether it was £800 or £80 that’s nearly £5000 I’ve made in just over a month ,that’s for you my friend I don’t listen to you or others as I make my own judgements after nearly 35 years trading I set a figure range for profit and stick to it ,if it goes above that range I’m not bothered a profit is a profit you may learn something as I have a bigger portfolio in another ftse 100 company where I’m long and hold a paper loss at present so it’s swings and roundabouts mate good luck

I hope you took my advice this morning ,I bought in at £2.98 sold back at £3.08 made just over £800 if I kept them I would of recieved about £40 more with a dividend so will look to see if it dips to £3 mark again great day trade at present mate

I hope your right but the fact the SP is still at these levels pre ex dividend is concerning,we will wait and see ?

That is why I’m wondering if the fact the SP has not risen due to ex dividend day could there be a change of heart regarding the dividend payment ,the management could still withdraw the payment it’s not a given right in these extraordinary circumstances we will see good luck

At present No guarantee that there will be a dividend in 3 months time so I would rather trade at weekly levels ,once there is an upside to lockdown measures then this may well change good luck

Simple scenario,say you but 5000 shares at £2.98 = £14900 + stamp duty and fee ,then sell at £3.25 less fee you make approximately £1250, Dividend would earn you approximately £400 after Wednesday but SP could be whatever price !

And then Otto it will probably be back to 3.10 levels after that date ,depending on your energy price you could buy and sell short term and make more mone6 than the dividend if your scenario is correct ,I know what I would do !

It’s never nice when these events around redundancy come up but the stark reality is Nobody knows when the aviation sector is going to see lots of planes in the sky so this unfortunately has to happen ,let’s hope that we see planes next month travelling to lots of destinations but it will still take a lot of time to get any where normal so this action has to happen , I think this will be the biggest number of redundancies that Derby has ever seen in the last 25 years

The point is have you or anyone got £12000 to put into Shell so those points are irrelevant ,the fact is if you invest in Bp you get 32p a year or £1 .43p with Shell as of 2019 stick to the facts mate

Where do you get £88;a year Bp dividend from ? and Shell have cut the dividend once since the war

Yes I agree Otto I bought an amount at £2.84 and sold at £3.30 now back in again at £3 so se3 where it goes from here

Moolybap is correct there will be an announcement at the end of the month ,this Im afraid was inevitable due to current scenario

And unfortunately it will come straight back down due to ex dividend date
