Sycurio Director of Information Security Jason Cornock has successfully fulfilled the Information Security Assessor (ISA) requirements from the PCI Security Standards Council.

This certification means that Sycurio is now a QSA Company and can sign off on certain Payment Card Industry requirements without engaging an external qualified security assessor, reducing external audit time and cost. It also enhances our cybersecurity credibility and adds weight to our consulting capacity.

As part of the certification process, Jason received significant training in the PCI ecosystem and gained knowledge around different ways of solving the issues that can arise around PCI DSS compliance.

Jason has worked across the UK, Europe, and North America, spanning multiple industries. He has deep expertise in integrating secure payment services across diverse environments and building high-performing security functions that support the delivery of B2B and B2C products and services. He currently heads our information security team, where he oversees and manages our information security strategy and ensures compliance with relevant regulations and standards including PCI DSS.

HMRC Wants New CRM & CCaaS Platforms, Sets a Massive $2BN+ Budget

HMRC is having a tough time meeting the needs of customers. Could this change with new CRM and CCaaS strategy?

HMRC aims to improve its support services for UK taxpayers, setting a mammoth budget worth over $2BN.

That budget will finance new CRM and CCaaS solutions, handling interactions between the HMRC and UK citizens.

The UK tax collector’s CRM budget totals $1.34BN (£1.5BN). Meanwhile, its CCaaS allocation is $670MN (£1BN).

HMRC set out the scope of the funding in two separate preliminary market engagement notices, one for CRM and the other for CCaaS.

While the budgets – for software alone – may catch the eye,

**the authority wishes to pen 15-year contracts with its chosen vendors.**

Government Digital Service (GDS) is seeking a payment service provider for the GOV.UK Pay platform for processing credit and debit card payments and introducing open banking payments for public services.

A market notice states that GDS is preparing to spend up to £49.2 million under a three-year contract to begin in July of this year, with options for two one-year extensions.

GOV.UK Pay (Pay) is a digital payments platform, developed and run by GDS and was designed to provide an easier way for the public to make payments for services. Open banking allows for the sharing of financial data between banks and third party service providers through APIs.
