We're expecting/hoping for news on the Bahamas Governments approval of BPC's Environmental Authorisation. This could possibly come any time, but some believe it would be announced at the same time as any news of a deal with the oil major.

There's three or four weeks to go before the first three-month period in the exclusivity agreement expires.

For PR reasons, a US or European major would be great. But I'm happy for it to be a Martian major if they give us a great deal.

In the context of this board, BG usually means Bahamas Government.
On a different board, it might mean British Gas!!

Trading this afternoon seemed a little quieter than it was yesterday, possibly due to the US holiday.

There will probably be many details to thrash out, such as:
Back costs of licences;
Percentage of revenue to pay in royalties to BPC;
Whether the deal includes a single drill, or multiple ones;
Position of first spud....

There will likely be lots more details too.

In having an initial 3-month exclusivity period, they must have expected that initial discussions would take that amount of time.

I wouldn't consider this to a be a delay or a log jam.

All parties will likely want an agreement ASAP so that there can be a drill plan ready for Q1 2019.

Yes, they're not allowed to suppress market sensitive information. They are obliged to issue an RNS.

They don't normally issue an RNS just to say that they have posted out the annual results to shareholders.

Would a £300 million valuation for BPC translate into around 20p per share?
