What the coming week has in store? There has been a rally this past few days and to some extent emg has gone along with it....hopefully we can build on this small gain rather than give it back...fingers crossed..

Been toying about with the dow but to be honest I find it difficult to read at the moment but I have managed to lock in a few small profits but as you found out you have to keep a close eye on it. .tricky!..atb..

Quite a education? akin to going to a alchol anon meeting..a different story from me..after my little bungie jump with the tech stocks some 14 years ago, that left me back where I started I thought I would try my hand at spreadbetting. back then it was pretty much all done over the phone.. well the fact is I must have lost around £6000 very quickly..and was very aware that things had to change, so very carefully and slowly I started again..with a measly £500 and hard work I eventually got my account back to over £6000...but that was short lived because I virtually lost the lot again on a long position on the dow leading up to its mighty fall...at that point I threw in the towel..just leaving me with a managed stocks & shares pep... It took many years before I had both the funds and the confidence to give it another shot..these days are better..and I suppose that was my apprenticeship..my spreadbetting is under control.. and my account is purely profit..I have found a formula that seems to work but it is no longer my whole life as it was then GL

I suppose you are right..but not really bothered because I have very little invested in the ftse100. ..anyway have a good year yourself..I see you have become quite active on the kaz board..hope you are doing alright? .been in & out a few times myself..bit of a tricky play that one....

With you on the simplicity of life..must admit having gone through the tech boom &bust 14 yrs ago making (and losing) vast ammounts..I also think addiction is part of the drive..I even practiced mindfulness to help me feel less anxious..like yourself I no longer care much for flash things. ..morgage free nowadays..also like music and have a small recording room..ultimatly it is the leveraged positions that give me the most unrest.. Whoever invented spreadbetting..sometimes I go to bed with the image of those red and green candles burnt in my vision. .ATB
