Q34: Reference field trials for the PD and the BT, are you able to give a more detailed schedule for completion?

Field trials are completed for Microtox PD in wastewater and data is being transmitted to third party evaluators. We are merely awaiting release from NDA's.

If the field trials had failed, that would result in an immediate RNS and no need for for "release from NDA's"

HelloSanDiego, I believe it was the trial that was set to conclude in 4 months not any sort of launch.

I'm sure that priming manufacturing partners will be going on in preparation though.

Splendor, you are certainly right that this is one of the key cards in their hand and another reason why they appear to be refusing to put any of their own money into restarting the mine.
Both Koffiefontein and Williamson were discussed in this mornings' presentation with a definite eye towards their economic viability being key to decision making.

Splendor, that comment can now be almost construed as historical. Williamson was both mothballed (put under care and maintenance) and classified as being 'up for sale' as part of the situation with GoT before the death of the 'Bulldozer' (incidentally the GoT also I believe raised a legal objection to a sale).
Since the new administration has taken charge there has been a clear change in attitude from GoT revealed today by the first VAT receivables payment being paid in almost 3 years I believe (I think the total swipe by GoT amounted to almost $80m over the years).
This is the money now being used to prepare Williamson for full restart (with other factors such as local finance etc still to add into the mix under negotiation).

Good news that the mine is currently undergoing restart financed by the return of $10m VAT receivables from GoT.
Baby steps but excellent position change by GoT.

Bang on redwineday, this is going to be a long haul recovery and still lots of risk.
That said, I'm still happy to put a few more away in the ISA for that longer term outlook if the price is right.
We'll see what price action there is today but it looks like someone is still prepared to sell into the results.

I guess after being around this company for as long as I have, I've become more pragmatic. Sometimes I think forums lead us into the trap of either being too pro or anti particular shares as opposed to simply weighing things up and taking more time.
I'm increasingly happy with the way the company is dealing with GoT now and it certainly helped when the Bulldozer died. That was my trigger to start looking in more detail again. Will we ever get back the VAT receivables? Doubt it but I suspect Duffy will be driving a suitably hard, risk minimised deal to restart Williamson.
Agreed the company is looking increasingly solid, I just think the turnaround (barring a flurry of exceptional stones) will take a bit longer than expected which is why I'm only at 50% but increasing.

Canetoad/Greatcrest re bondholders, after the restructuring over 38% of the company was in the hands of bondholders that were below an RNS size. Vontabel RNS'd at 17.83 % but according to the Petra site is at 16.81% but no RNS? And when an order is placed it doesn't have to be declared until it's cleared. Lots of reasons why hard evidence may not be around.
Either way, it doesn't really matter as the shares are coming from somewhere.
I totally agree about the pointless whinging, I'm using this time to accumulate a little position. I've been in and out of this share for over a decade I've been fortunate it's done me well despite the mess it got into.

I don't recall them ever retaining a working interest either.

With such a large overhang of shareholders who never intended to be (converted bondholders), this was always going to need something special to get it out of the Doldrums.
Hopefully the restart of Williamson and a few more big stones will seal the turnaround.

I wouldn't get too excited by ADVFN. Half the posts are from ****er who lost £5 on one of GBs previous companies and has never got over it!
