The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Winnings I am not interested. All you ever do on here is promote BXP.
I've taken a look at it. Even after all the recent declines (and your ramping it on here at much higher prices), BXP is still sitting at 35% above its pre-covid price, which means I'll be steering well clear.
This was already on my watchlist, the thing that put me off buying before now was declaration of JP Morgan's short on 10 Nov.
What did they know, and how did they know it?? Always suspiciius of these guys and the large decline within 2 weeks of that short heightens the suspicion.
Well said Learning. Lesson learned here too not to give too much credence to the know-it-alls who claim the share is going stellar.
I broke my own rules and invested far too high a weighting in this risky stock. I guess greed and FOMO gets the better of us sometimes, although it's easy to convince yourself on the validity of an investment case when there appear to be credible bulls on a bb. Sadly it turns out they were not credible, and nor was the investment case :(
Well said Agricore. Reality is the whole market CHRYs wolf. It behaves as if high inflation is a permanent thing and prices stocks on that basis. A small dip in US inflation and - lo and behold - Mr market suddenly realises maybe things will get better after all. Doh! It was only ever going to be a temporary thing, history tells us that, over and over again.
There have been so many bargains over the last couple of months it's been hard to choose which sweets to buy in the candy store. This IMO is one that remains seriously underpriced.
Agreed Cripes
"The Gym Group plc, ('The Gym Group', or 'the Company') the nationwide operator of 2241 low cost, high quality, 24/7 gyms, announces the following trading update for the four months ended 31st October 2022."
2241 gyms? Makes no sense.
Also PE looks ridiculously high: even before covid / cost of living crisis they were producing only low level earnings.
I'll be steering clear of this one.
Thanks for the constructive posts here guys (esp Trek). Always like to see positive (well reasoned, not ramping) posts on a bb before taking the plunge.
Showing a small profit already and happy to hold for the longer term given the strong fundamentals :)
Congratulations on your success.
I also bought under 100p, but sadly that was after also buying at 200p. I've sold out now at an overall 25% loss :(
What troubles me here is the growing short interest. I normally sell out of my positions when I see that as don't want to bet against the "experts" betting the other way (and there are now 3 of them). My own gut tells me this is still undervalued, but am on the sidelines again now.
Any thoughts from others on the shorts?
