Well-said Visainn, I wassaying the exact same thing two days ago when the RNS came out and (remarkably) the sp was still sitting above 12p.

Holding a share like this in your portfolio is bad for your health. Seling can be like lifting a large weight off your shoulders.

That said, if I had been daft enough to hold down to this kevel I would probably hold now with a view to selling out on the next bounce above 10p (there probably will be one - this share is going to remain highly volatile for a good while).

But kitchens have been around 100s of years, Netflix has been here ( in the uk) just 10 years, Disney+ just two years.

That makes it a pretty dreadful comparison!

Not sure about "getting the video out there". That guy was already a holder. What price did he buy in at, 20p, 30p, 40p, more? He was also recommending "hold" yesterday before it dropped further. His analysis to date hasn't done himself, or his followers, and favours so far.

Also if the debt isn't so bad, why are they looking to reduce it, at shareholders (probably considerable) expense.

For me, the debt - although a massive issue - isn't even the biggest one. The biggest one is whether cinemas as a business are even viable any more. Will they ever get the footfall they enjoyed before 2020 again? It is a dying industry and whether it will ever recover enough for CINE to deliver profits again is the big unknown. This one is for traders only IMO.

As there Is no scientific basis to the claims its difficult to see how any of them could have any merit?

What could the plaintiffs do? Pay a scientist to say there is a link? Problem with that is science isn't based on opinion,its based on fact. And those facts are peer reviewed and published. All the published material says no link. End of story.

Avatca has a market cap nearly half that of JUP on less than 1% of their revenues and having never made a profit. Looks like a pretty smart short to me :)

I'm not convinced their research attempts mean they should be left alone by shorters. An overvalued company, is an overvalued company, regardless of their line of business (which, being a limited company, they are doing to make a profit, not for some altruistic ideals).

Same as kerching, I'm patiently waiting for pre-covid price of £7.80 before I'll consider selling here.

John, I cashed in my RPS shares at the start of this week. Happy days. RCDO now top of my list of companies most likely to receive a takeover bid. That could easily lead us to £10+ .

Great statement from GSK which effectively puts this nonsense to bed. Quite simply, there is zero scientific evidence to support the claims, so near zero chance they'll be liable to pay any damages.

All this fuss over nothing did was create a great buying opportunity. Amazingly,the sp still sits under £15 so not too late for those who missed out yesterday. :)

I've piled back in today at a little over £14.

Always nice being able to get back into a share at a discount to previous holding. Sold out last time at £17, will probably do so again when we get back there (don't expect it to take too long once this blows over and the market calms down again).

I'd say there is (in the region of) a 99% chance if you hold your shares they'll be converted to cash at 206p a share , plus you'll potentially get a 0.45p dividend on top.

There is a very small chance the offer will fall through and also a very small chance another, better, offer will come along.

I see it as a choice between 203.5p in your pocket now or a near certain 206p in the near future. Personally, I prefer to take the cash in these situations because a) It removes all risk and b) I usually think i can do better than the 1-2% return i can expect from keeping the cash held here.

Been holding this for 18 months now and it's slowly but surely rising up to become an increasingly important part of my portfolio.

Steady rises coupled with nice dividend yield make this a very solid holding.

Have people been encouraged to buy , i wonder, because of the recent sunny weather? Always considered climate change to be a good reason for investing here.
